Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern Cuisine; family restaurant; dine-in; carry-out; catering. We have a love for great food that we pass on to our valued customers.
Phenomenal service which deserves 5 stars itself. Ordered a carryout– waitress was very friendly and enthusiastic. Had lots of recommendations and suggestions. Seemed to really stand behind the place(and she was not family!) Can be hard to find good employees so good for them! And her! Owners/ppl in kitchen were all super friendly. Clean, lit up, open kitchen. Small place but still nice enough to eat in. Some of the smaller places in the area are good but maybe more ideal for carryout — this place I’d feel comfortable dining in, too. Very nicely set up Chicken and beef shawarma sandwiches were delicious– very flavorful. Fattoush salad was great, very fresh. Lettuce was extra crisp. Next time, I will ask for dressing on side so pita stays crisp til I get home. Hummus was ok, I think it depends on taste. I prefer a very smooth and creamy, lighter in color, Hummus; there’s was a little darker in color, not as creamy and had a slight smokiness in flavor(paprika???). I discovered it did not come with bread, so be sure to ask for that if you want it. A guy(owner maybe??) Came over, talked to me for a bit, gave me bread for the hummus, just really nice and I appreciate the above and beyond service. Great prices, nice to be able to order small orders for cheap prices especially when just eating for one. $ 2.99 for a small hummus; $ 4.99 for large. Same pricing for fattoush. Shawarma and kabob sandwiches for $ 3.99.(Prices reflect carryout menu I picked up; of course they’re always subject to change so don’t rely on my review for accuracy in prices) They also sell homemade Iraqi bread to take home. My only suggestion is to serve some pita with hummus as a regularity, or advise that nothing comes with and direct customer to add-ons ie side of pita, side of pita chips, side of fresh veggies as some examples /suggestions. I’m glad I checked, we would’ve wondered how to eat the hummus when I got home without anything to dip:) if you’re a customer, just ask. They’re so amazingly friendly. This place deserves your business and I would highly recommend a visit.

There are so many middle eastern restaurants around me and I’ve had my fair share of shwarmas and I would have to say that this place has THEBEST. Their shwarmas are a great size too! I’ve also has their fattoush salad and combo platters and they have all been so good! Not to mention the staff are soooo sweet. I HIGHLYRECOMMEND this place to anyone who’s looking for real good Mediterranean food!!!

I’m happy to have Jasmin near me(there can never be enough proximate Middle Eastern restaurants). So far, I have had the lentil soup and eggplant salad, both of which I enjoyed. I intend to try the falafel and veggie ghallaba soon. For vegetarians, they also have hummus, baba ghanouj, grape leaves and a variety of salads. Of course, I always wish for more veggie entrees(e.g. mjadra, lentil kibbie, etc.) but maybe these will come eventually(if they get enough requests /vegetarian patrons). What stands out about Jasmin, though, is the man behind the counter(owner? manager?). He is a very friendly and accommodating person. To me, this is as important as good food. I’ll update my review as I try more things.

I went to this place the first or second week it was open. I didn’t have much of a problem with the food as I did the service. I placed an order for a tray with multiple different meats on it. When I got there, I waited an extra 10 – 15 minutes for my food than the time they told me. That’s not as big of a deal as what happened next. When I was being given my tray, the owner explained how he gave me extra of certain things because he ran out of chicken cream chop and other chicken meats. What if I had someone eating that doesn’t eat red meats and wanted chicken? How did they not explain this over the phone? I understand a place wants to make money, but that basically cost them a customer… especially when a relative of his seemed to be getting better service AND he probably got my chicken. The cook seemed to be working on his order instead of finishing my half made order. 3 stars but I won’t be back anytime soon.

Susan N. — I will not remove my review because it happened and your employees are unprofessional at what they do, just like you, and still not accepting the mistakes that happened. Saying you don’t have hamburgers, trying to cover up the twist tie in the burger i found, just like what your bad employes tried to do, then lying and removing your comment on my first post, when I posted the picture of the menu. Also I will not have respect for a business that treats customers like they are nothing, when i review a place on Unilocal,i speak the truth. my first review did not include any«lewd words» i just stated the facts, and what I felt what your«employes» said and did. But in the second comment i may have used a few«lewd words» due to the fact you kept lying to me, post after post. So in the end, go run that thing you call a business down to the ground, because you just don’t like people speaking the truth about this thing you are running.

Went in when they were about to close. My apologies… But even then the service was great. It is a casual restaurant they had nice Arabic music playing. The decorations are interesting. Now the food. This place is 120% better than Bagdad Restaurant that’s right across the street. Jasmin uses REAL garlic sauce. The food is amazing. Everything the meat it juicy and cooked to perfection. All in all I had to give it a 5⁄5 stars keep up the good work. I’ll be back again.
