History

Established in 1994.

On March 1^st, 1994 we opened the doors of Moose Mountain Trading Company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. As I look back and reflect on all that I’ve experienced as the owner of this business, I feel deeply humbled and gratified. There is no luck involved in the art of staying in business; it is the result of dedicated passion for what we are doing, and sheer hard work on the part of everyone who has ever worked for Moose. We have become a key retailer in our own market in Steamboat with many people every day exclaiming that a visit to Steamboat is not complete without a stop at Moose Mountain. And then there are so many wonderful people who have become dear friends over the years and without them, it wouldn’t be as much fun! With their support we are encouraged to keep our store fresh and fun and cutting edge!
