Established in 2000.

Mogil’s on the Mountain was originally at the base of the ski resort and specialized in film developing, but relocated to Dream Island and expanded to better serve the needs of the whole community by adding camera accessories and home theater and electronics.

Business Owner

Growing up in New Jersey, Jay started selling cameras in 1986 at The Camera Shop, Inc. He moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado in January of 1990, and managed Western Camera off and on over the next 10 years. Steamboat Springs was the next step, and in 2000, Jay opened Mogil’s on the Mountain in Ski Time Square, slope side on Mt. Warner. The shop was moved to it’s current location in June of 2001, and has been expanded 3 times since. Now featuring over 1500 square feet of floorspace filled with everything from cameras, binoculars, and stereos to telescopes, batteries, chargers, and TVs. The shop is also a retailer for Directv, Dish Network, Cricket mobile phones, Hughes Network, and Wild Blue.
