History

Established in 2013.

Local Sharing Tree began in the summer of 2013. After many months of creating and designing our website and business foundation, we had a soft launch in Statesville, NC for local businesses in November 2013. In December of 2013, we had a soft launch for local schools and non-profits. When 2014 rolled around we decided to also launch our website and company in Charlotte, NC.

In March 2014 we had a soft launch for businesses and organizations extending from Lake Norman down to Charlotte.

In May 2014 we officially started our marketing campaign and hard launched in both Lake Norman and Charlotte areas.

We’re continually looking to grow. Of course, first and foremost, our primary mission will always be to help our communities grow — local businesses, schools and non-profits!

Meet the Manager

Meredith F.

Manager

Meredith graduated from East Carolina University in 2009 (Arrgghh!) with a degree in Architecture and minor in Business Management. She is the Project Manager for Local Sharing Tree and manages all of the daily operations for the entire company.

Meredith is conventionally quirky and a pragmatic dreamer; you’ll understand when you meet her. She’s a Bibliophile and Philomath whose encompassing heart is both her greatest strength and weakness.

Meredith’s favorite quote comes from the final lines in one of her favorite novels, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce, «Welcome, O life! I go to encounter for the millionth time the reality of experience and to forge in the smithy of my soul the uncreated conscience of my race.» Like the character in the novel, Meredith strives to use her individual voice to create a voice and conscience for her community.
