Savannah Design & Drapery Company designs, fabricates, and installs custom window treatments for commercial and residential clients in Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry. Our designers are adept at choosing the right style, fabric, hardware, and color for your windows, as well as assisting with your other decorating needs.

Our skilled fabricators transform that design into exquisite window treatments that perfectly express your personality and tastes.

Once the treatments are completed, our installers assure that your window treatments are installed according to nationally accepted standards for years of trouble-​free enjoyment.

History

Established in 1989.

Originally, Kathy Collingsworth, one of the principals of Savannah Design & Drapery Works, started making custom window treatments on the family dining room table. She once sold the window treatments her family’s living room windows to a visitor to her home. As the demand for her work increased, she and her husband Wayne opened shop under the name Kathy Collingsworth & Co. in a building that had at various times been a church, an auto garage, and an air conditioning and electrical contracting business.

After several years in that location, the business was moved into an office and warehouse complex to allow for a larger workroom and office area. Plans are underway to locate to an even larger facility in the Savannah, GA area to better serve the growing southeast Georgia and South Carolina Lowcountry.

In 2013 company was reorganized and the name of the company was changed to Savannah Design & Drapery Works, LLC to better reflect the function of the business and its market area.
