We used to order from Yum Yum all the time and the food was very good. Always fresh and tasted great, however it was taken over by some one else. I could tell by the addition of the ½ chicken and fried rice menu. The food was terrible. The soup was lacking any chicken taste, the egg fu young was burnt and had an off putting taste. Even the gravy was watery and lacked any flavor. Egg rolls were greasy… Bummer this restaurant used to be one of my favorites.

Tried to order from(the now closed) Chin Chin only to find out their orders are now handled by Yum Yum. The staff seemed friendly enough, and the order was ready quick. I was not impressed with the food at all and I will not be ordering from here again.

The only Chinese restaurant I order from on Staten Island. Pick up or delivery, it’s off forest avenue, parking, but tight, so order then goto pick up, I love the way they have the condiments pretty set up and ready to go…

I’m a vegeterian and they have this meat substitute! Yay! Mins away from my house. 1 word. Yum! Also I made it steamed which is healthier. People were nice and made sure they got my order right since I’m picky.(Veg probs) why the four stars because it was a little pricy :-/11 bucks for my veg meal but it was a decent size so I guess it’s alright.

I like their food because it’s not so oily as other places. There noodle soups are great! But the service is horrible. When placing my order in via phone I was rushed and when delivery arrived the man told me $ 27 when it was actually 26 and change so I gave him a few in tip he counted before leaving and rolled his eyes and got rude. Maybe I would have tipped you more if I didn’t have to leave my house and go out into the drive way cause you were too lazy to walk 5 steps.

The food is ok, however you only get good customer service when the owner is there. All other times feels more like«pay and get out». Recently i order my food over the phone and went to pick it up, because my total was under $ 10 the lady wanted me to pay a penalty of 25 cents! How ridiculous is that? I mentioned that this policy is not displayed anywhere in the store and the answer i received was«customers just know» she suggested i go find an ATM and pulled the food away from me, So i left and went home to a healthier meal! I have been buying their food for the last four years, will NEVER return. Apparently they think we need them more than they need us, when there are so many good food options available elsewhere. Absolutely will not return… So if your food seemed old, you probably got the one taken from me earlier that day lol.

They haven’t been there long, and I tried them out when they first opened with my family. Everything is good there, I’m a big fan of the simple things(white rice, and any kind of veggies or seafood). The food is clean, not exaggeratedly greasy; except maybe the shrimps(when you order the shrimp w/broccoli, they taste a little bitter). The delivery is pretty quick(seeing as I don’t live far), and the people there are so-so, sometimes they’re nice and helpful, but other times they seem a little out of it(although that might be because I call in during their busiest time of the day!). All in all, decent restaurant, good food, again decent service and OK delivery. One of two Chinese restaurants I’d ever eat from on the island. EDIT: I stopped eating from this place, last time I ordered here, the chicken was spoiled and the rice tasted like dirt. I don’t know what happened to the food.

This is the first time I have Chinese food in Staten Island and let me tell you it’s not Brooklyn Chinese food the flavor is not the same and this yum yum is more like ewweww it was tasteless and the service was not to expectations so this yum yum store is not recommended by me to any 1 who wants Chinese food that is like Brooklyn Chinese. first and last time

There are two types of Chinese food in this world– terrible and great, with not much in between. Yum Yum is on the far end of greatness. Since moving to the area three years ago, my wife and I have converted from being faithful to another local Chinese place to this magnificent gem. The service is awesome. Frank, the owner, has granted me the 10% coupon over the phone because the website wasn’t working on my iPad. Food wise– the best. Never had a bad meal from this place. Never greasy, never cold. Delivery is quick and friendly. If you’re eating Chinese elsewhere, stop. Now.

I think this place is under new management. We used to order from here all the time – and by that I mean about once a week. The recipes don’t taste the same. Too much sauce on the Shrimp Dumpling with hot sesame sauce. The curry sauce is sometimes way too spicy or it’s just not enough. The food is not bad, but it’s not what I came to expect under old management/owners. Also, my guy got a bad reaction from the same food we’ve always ordered. Weird.

We ordered lunch on our way home from brooklyn and picked it up with in 20 mins. The place looked pretty clean the lady was nice and pleasant and well i always like when the place gets a recent A with minor violations especially for a chinese take out place. The food wasn’t bad, we ordered soup wonton egg drop and reg wonton soup both had good flavor not overly salty the wontons were good they were a little mushy though. Another dish was chicken dumplings with sesame sauce. This was really good. Although it comes with an extreme amount of sauce it has a great peanut butter sesame flavor not to spicy the dumpling is tender just perfect. The sesame chicken was good but not crunchy like you expect to have with sesame chicken same thing with the chicken and mixed veg this was favorless. I would try this place again and get different entrees.

Yum Yum? More like Yuk Yuk! We ordered lunch and everyone’s food was bad. the fried rice tasted and smelled burnt. The eggrolls tasted bad. like spoiled and stale. the crunchy noodles for your soup were so stale plus they gave you like 5 in the bag… that or the delivery man ate them on the way to our office! lol. SorryI would never take the time to do this but it was that bad. OH and they also got our order wrong! Dont bother.

Worse pad thai ever! No lime with the meal.(if you’ve ever had real pad thai you would know it ALWAYS comes with a lime) Dumplings were great maybe they should stick to just chinese food. Figures staten Island wouldn’t have a decent Thai food spot. Im really not surprised. If your gonna get food get just the chinese food.

Extensive menu… which might be part of the problem, how can you do everything good? The Pad Thai was less than good, but the General Tso chicken was really good. I like the tea pot being on the counter so you can refill when you want. Meals were really reasonably priced so for what we paid it wasn’t greasy and for the dollar value it was good.

Very good Thai food. Delivery time is awesome but going into the store takes a lot longer. I like all the Thai Curries. My brother swears by the shrimp pad thai!

Just Finished lunch from here. It was delivered to my office. Delivery time? GREAT! However, do you remember that Simpsons episode where Homer wanted to gain weight so he could go on disability and work from home? And he and Bart would rub anything and everything greasy against a wall and if the wall became clear, Homer ate the heart attack waiting to happen? Well thats what I thought of when eating my roast pork(yes I know, I’m a bad Jew) egg roll. The egg roll was so greasy I’m shocked that my napkin did not turn clear. Was it delicious? HELL ya, but it was too oily. The wonton meat in my soup was tasty but the wonton noodles were slightly overcooked and mushy and the broth was over salted.
