Large, beautifully laid out garden center. It’s a pleasure to just wander around their grounds. This visit I just bought some herbs, which were reasonably priced. I was delighted by the purple, curly-leaved basil, which I’d never seen before! It was too bad(and rather surprising) though, that it seems like absolutely none of the staff could tell my mother what some of the flowers planted in front of the place were… she wanted to buy some, but no one there could identify them. Their main business seems to be in fancy landscaping services. I’m sure they are wonderful at this; but I haven’t hired them… The first time I went here, I was p.o.ed, though, because I asked what their delivery fee was, picked out about $ 500. worth of rather overpriced but quite nice planters and plants, went to check out… and then they tried to charge me quite a bit extra for delivery because my items were«heavy.» Well, of course they’re heavy! That’s why I want them delivered! I ended up going elsewhere and saving quite a lot of money. But — a couple of years later; I’m over that, and don’t mind going back there for plants…

Huge huge nursery and gardening center. I’ve seen every little and big flower, shrub and tree for sale here. In fact, this place is so large I find it a bit intimidating, I barely know where to start: P Very helpful and professional staff. They will come to you and do an hour long consult and evaluation of your grounds for a mere(!) $ 250. If you hire them they will apply $ 100 of that towards the price of the work. My wallet hurts just thinking about how much it would cost to hire them for landscaping! My neighbor, that one in a mansion. recommends Wiesner! His foliage and landscaping are gorgeous and immaculately kept(by Wiesner).

I’m giving them 5 stars for: size of facility attention from professional staff small, locally owned business I went by this place to try to identify a beautiful tree growing in my aunt’s yard. The staff was extremely helpful in providing me access to their trees(some of which caused sticker shock, but I don’t know enough to compare prices) to compare to my clipping. They even searched in their horticulture textbook library. Although they didn’t precisely identify the species, they offered tips on propagating a new tree from clippings. Talk about a great, inexpensive solution! One of the guys who helped me has been working for the family for 10 years. I think that says a lot about the nursery. The grounds are beautiful and it’s only early April. I’m looking forward to visiting once the growing season is in full swing. Their property fronts a really long stretch along Victory near CSI and it’s goes back even farther then it is wide… Next time I’ll actually buy something to plant in my still-under-construction garden beds.
