The few times I’ve been here where pretty good never a problem. The reason now I’m visiting the small wing 501 Seaview Ave Michael Castellano MD hernia specialist He operated on me 12÷11÷15 an I had such an amazing experience with him before an after. Honestly I’ve been through a handful of surgical care an he’s one of my favorites. I highly recommend him for any hernia issues. He called me the next day personally, not his office not his staff members him. Just to check in on me, next day after the hospital called me to check on me, let me say the staff nurses there where amazing like I just want to go back an give them edible arrangements or something sweet to show my gratitude. Amazing wonderful people Thank you so much all of you.

Used to be a great alternative to RUMC which has gone completely down the drain. Unfortunately going to go back to RUMC as I see no difference now. You know something’s wrong when you wait 2 hours between every doctor/nurse visit to your bed and that’s when you go and ask about a dozen times

Haven’t had a problem with this hospital to date. Had surgery here in late November 2012 and everyone was thorough with their individual duties. Starting a week before with the pre-admission test, they make sure you are healthy enough to go under the knife and gather all the important info. On the day of surgery, everyone from admissions to the RN’s did a great job with pain management and getting me in and out as smooth as possible without being rushed. I was first in line for surgery with a 5:30am admission time and i was out just after 1pm, after waking up and recovering from anesthesia. Don’t be afraid to tell them how you are feeling! That’s the one mistake people make when they are post-op and then regret it when they leave. You will be taken care of if you tell them exactly what’s wrong! My experience at SIUH was positive, so it has my stamp of approval.

never ride the bus here. it is a pain in the neck. when i first moved to S.I.- i didn’t know how to get around. i needed to go to the ER and had no clue of where to go. i asked random RN’s and staff smoking cigs outside where the ER was… they ignored me or pretended to have no idea. i was mortified. i finally made it to the ER. the front desk guy immediately pointed to a clipboard and there i went… filled out my paperwork and watched soap operas on t.v. question. why do medical office always mount t.v.‘s so high up to the ceiling? i could strain my neck staring up there for so long! it took me 2−½ hours to finally be seen. they doctor barely looked at me– gave me a prescription and forced me out the door. i felt very neglected! i’ll never come back here again!
