I am absolutely livid! LIVID!!! We ordered a half tray of lumpia for our small gathering today and they are cold and soggy!!! No crunch! I was caught off guard because we go to this place often. We’ve ordered lumpia from them in the past and we live in Brooklyn. Never had this issue lumpia was fine… I understand that they are busy because it is New Year’s Eve but still no excuse when a paying customer gets cold lumpia!!! The lady offered to make a new batch but it’s too much of a hassle to go back and forth! We are busy today as well! Very disappointed.

Best place to shop for your Filipino made products on Staten Island! Fresh baked breads and pastries delivered every Friday and Saturday. Take out Filipino food cooked daily. We always order from their catering menu every time we have a party. You can send money and packages here to the Philippines via Johnny Air Cargo.

Found this place near Forts Wadsworth after one of my doc appts. I just moved here from San Diego and being that I am mestiza growing up with mom who is pinay, I needed to find a place to buy my sauces and noodles that I’m use to cooking with. This is small place but carries a good amount of Filipino products. They also have cooked food during certain hours as well as food that is already cooked in the refrigerated area that can be zapped in the microwave. The only thing I don’t like is the brand of lumpia wrappers they sell. I’m new to New York so I’m still venturing out to find other Filipino joints but it’s nice to know that this place is around.

Although Phil-AM is a Filipino store chain that sells every Filipino food you can think of, frozen and already made, I specifically came here just for the Halo Halo. Unlike most Filipino restaurants and bakeries that sell Halo Halo, Phil-AM actually places a cup with the ingredients already inside in the drinks section. All I had to do was grab the cup, hand it to the people at the back counter and they knew exactly what to do. They basically added the ice and milk to it and any other ingredients missing. After scooping and slurping my Halo Halo until it was empty, my impressions of it were that it was just«OK». It was lacking in a few ingredients, including the infamous ube! Also, there were alot of sugary icy flakes in there that I wasn’t used to either. At $ 3.95, it’s slightly cheaper than the ones sold at Red Ribbon and Jollibee, but unfortunately not as good.

sinigang. palabok. pancit canton. menudo. basically, this is your one-stop-shop for all things Filipino. a very humble but special grocery store. living in Staten Island surely wasn’t easy for me. i had the fortune of living right across the street from this place and was able to get my «fix» if need be. the selections are simple: from lumpiang shanghai, hot foods, chips to imported drinks and treats. i liked that they had freshly made desserts and pastries available for purchase. the sinigang soup is my absolute favorite from here. the prices are favorable as well.
