Truly a very good dentist. Patient, thorough, easy to talk to. Seems like he is truly concerned about providing you with the best overall care. He took his time with me, and made sure I understood every decision he was making. He made for a very pleasant doctor, and a very pleasant experience. I’d give his staff a one star rating, but this review is based solely on my experience with Dr. Karl.

Dentists Dr. Hoffman & Karl, located on Hylan Blvd, are good dentists but are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! I went to them for a cap and the charge was up around $ 1000. And they wouldn’t do the work until paid up front. I found another dentist who charged $ 525 for the same procedure and let me make monthly payments. I’ll be staying with him. Having the same work done at both dentists I can truthfully say that the Dr. Karl was no better or worse than the cheaper one. These dentists that hike up their prices like this are what’s causing our insurance to go so high!

He is by far the greatest dentist I have ever gone to. He has done major proceedures on my teeth, and I have never felt a tinge of pain. His staff is courteous and very professional. He is the best dentist on Staten Island and I have been to a few. I would highly recommend Dr Karl.
