Thank god McGinns has closed its doors!!! What a bunch or ignorant pigs… The first turn off was the very large(no hip hop music) sign on the public juke box… I used to go in just to play one song to piss them off and leave for fun… second was the favoritism to there pig buddies… Watching them get served first while you’ve been waiting for yours wether it was food or drink. All n all I’m happy that I walked out on a few tabs due to pure disgust… Now flannigans is a totally different story… The bar tender is a gentleman… The bar has need renovated and the food is still great. I will be showing my support there with my large group of friends who spend WELL.

One of the friendliest places I’ve ever been too in Staten Island. I felt like family. Drinks and food were great. Will be going back soon!!!

They fixed the place up & renamed it Flanagan’s Tavern. The woman owner had to be the RUDEST, nastiest person I’ve ever run across! She was not only nasty to me, but to some other people who overheard me complaining as well. If you want a drink, be prepared to beg the one bartender to pay attention to you or the other bartender to stop texting. In all i would say keep driving, there are so many other places in Staten Island with pleasant owners, great food and strong drinks. This is NOT one of them.

Only been there a few times for a few drinks and a bite to eat, so I can not comment the dining area, but from the bar it definitely looks like it needs a makeover to brighten it up a bit. Its almost as if they ran out of money after building the bar area and then used moms old drapes to decorate rest. I did however notice the new front doors during my most recent visit, so they seem to be making improvements here and there. Food is really, really good. Burgers are juicy, tasty and big. Shrimp appetizer is my husbands favorite… he absolutely raves about the accompanying chili dipping sauce, the breading and the fact that shrimp is obviously brought in fresh. I’ve had the Shepherd’s Pie a few times and really enjoyed it. Had the sliders most recently and they were cooked to a perfect medium rare(despite the bartender not asking me how I wanted them, and I forgot to tell her). The buns were toasted just the way I like them and you can tell they use good quality Angus meat.(My only complaint was that they did not have blue cheese for burgers, only for dipping wings boooooo.) The portions are big and well worth the price. Good place to check out if you are in the neighborhood.

Not sure how u can go to a bar where one of the bartender flaunts his retired police status & threatens regular customers that he’ll have his cop buddies arrest them for DUIs when they leave. Can’t have people like that working in a bar.

Good quick service Typical pub food Big portions heavy on you stomach and tasty The carpet, tables n chairs are scary old and could use updating– the way it looked on the inside had us worried about the food However we enjoyed what we got And had no complaints on food or service
