Mac At Macy’s Staten Island Mall

The employees are not very helpful. Wanted to know about a eyeliner and some face makeup but the girl that helped me gave me 1 minute of her time and then just walked away to admire her self. Total turn off. So went to Sephora instead. And bought everything I needed there. They were very attentive. Thumbs down for Mac people

So I arrive for my appointment and it seemed like I was the only one there, was hand full of artists «makeup» artists available it seems. I was notice only when i was half way into the store. I then told the lady I had an appointment. She told me to sit on the first seat and have someone I like to do my makeup… ummm I just wanted to add I never done this before and this was my first time. I knew no one, which I did tell the lady who approached me. But she ignored me and told me to sit and tell someone I like to do my makeup. So all I did was sat down and waited for someone. She then went on with her business. It just seem like no one wanted to do my makeup. Well then the lady that approach me had to go to one of the artists to take me. The women she choose did not want to do it but walk towards me anyway. She was nice but seem like she was not into it. I did like the style she gave me but for 60 dollars she did not teach me anything… I always love Mac makeup but this experience turn me off… why do makeup artist tend to make you feel like crap? I gave it two stars cause I did like the makeup. #mac

If a item isnt in stock in your local macys and you request it from another store shipping has been free… now i have to pay 10 if im spending less than $ 50… i just had a pair of shoes for $ 9 delivered free of charge to my home from paramus macys last week!!!

Worst part of Macy at the Staten Island mall! They just stand there… I don’t know what the hell is going on … They give out free samples without recommending it to people… what are we suppose to ask for it or something… I don’t like the fact there so many people working there and the service is still slow. so that sucks… They don’t even know how to sell there products… It’s like why bother even buying it. Few times coming here I see them demonstrating makeup to a potential costumer… the make up looked soo weird and over done… I rather go to saphora or the Macy’s in 34 street there beauty section is always on point… On the weekends this place is swapped with people so I suggest you come here on the weekdays… No long waits and they will actually take there time to understand your needs and wants… Yes there is parking!

Mac cosmetics in the mall … Hmmmm who does the hiring their and why isn’t their staff diverse to meet the needs of every customer when I say diverse I mean ethnicity and skill set! Their. Customer service stinks. The sales ppl aren’t too good at makeup and do not represent the image of mac at all smh I’d rather shop at the Mac Pro store in the city … They know their stuff and aren’t afraid of ethnic skin

I have been here twice & had two very different experiences. The first time, my girl was very awkward. I didn’t want to look too done up & tried to explain that, but she took «natural» to mean nothing. It looked like I barely had makeup on, nonetheless, got it done. She was socially awkward & took all of 20 mins to finish. My sister was getting her’s done at the same time & her’s came out so much better. At my second attempt, my makeup did come out nicely & it looked like I got it professionally done. The girl was a talker & seemed to listen to what I wanted. However, I was there for 2 hours! I didn’t even realize it until I left. Both times the makeup made my face break out. The good thing is if you buy $ 50 worth of makeup, the service is free. But, be careful they don’t oversell you on anything. Do the calculations in your head before they ring you up. I don’t think I’ll be visiting MAC anytime soon for another service.
