Kmart

Horrible experience. The place is filthy, unorganized, understaffed, and many more ugly words to describe it. Management is unmanageable and unbelievably uncooperative to downright nasty. Will not be returning.

This store has its ups and downs. Great variety. But the shelves are often unorganized. A little bit of everything. Clothes, food, cheap furniture, tools, sporting goods, toys, electronics, food, appliances, and more. Small Nathan’s as well.

Ugh this place is ratchet! And I thought Walmart was bad, don’t they have a people who shop at Walmart site? Well I should start one for this store. Came here today for Halloween decorations, aren’t we in October? Well I had to walk past Christmas trees to get to one pathetic shelf of Halloween stuff, that looked like crap from the 99 cent store. After grabbing two things out of desperation, I went to stand on line, where one woman was yelling about losing her credit card that she just used, while the cashier was giving her dirty looks, and the manager looked like she couldn’t care less (lucky it wasn’t me). When that situation was done, it was finally my turn. But not before an argument at the register next to me, that almost turned into a fist fight, at this point I thought I was on a episode of what would you do, I’m look for hidden cameras. Then the one item I picked didn’t have a price, it took literally ten minutes for someone to look it up, after paying I wanted Nathan’s, stood on line where there for 3 people, Jesus Christ! Could the guy working look anymore less depressed & miserable. Finally it was my turn, then he tells me ten minutes for a hot dog! Really??? A place who ONLY makes hotdogs, I have to wait TEN MINUTES!!! I had enough and walked out, went and had Wendy’s across the street, ugh what a miserable shopping experience, NEVER AGAIN!!!

i went there to buy suspenders for a wedding, and i had to wait for 30 minutes just to find out that didn’t have what i needed.
Most of the employees are kids who can’t wait to get out of there. Not friendly or helpful whatsoever…

All I have to say is this place sucks and the workers are nothing but lazy low lives! Honestly take a bulldozer and build Walmart! It’s just a filthy place and have cheap stuff!

The one star I’m giving them is for the occasional great sales they have… Which honestly isn’t even worth the experience shopping here at the end of the day. I’ve went there 4 times in the last 6 months, and every single time there’s been an issue. The sales associates and cashiers are usually very nice, it’s the management that don’t have one sense of what customer service means. We’ve actually seen a manager yell at a customer!!! The customer asked the manager how much an item was (that she found in the clearance section, which was all marked 50% off). He responded, very nasty, that he doesn’t know, and to go get it scanned. That’s rude to begin with, but even if you’re busy, there’s a nice way to say that. She went to an associate to get the item scanned, I heard her say something about talking to the manager, and also mentioned something about the item being in clearance (I don’t remember her exact words). That same manager, for whatever reason, heard her talking and thought she said that HE said that the item was 50% off. He started yelling at her, saying he never said that, asked her why she said that, and even called her a liar! We were in disbelief, I’ve never heard a store employee, much less a manager, yell at a paying customer. The woman had a CARTFUL of items that she left there because she was so disgusted.
I was picking up an item we purchased online, which is why we didn’t walk out after seeing that. The best is, they couldn’t find the item. A trip that should’ve taken 5 minutes, ended up taking about an hour! First, it wasn’t at the customer service desk, where pickups normally are, for 15 minutes, they couldn’t find it. Next, we were told the item wasn’t there. Finally, a young gentleman brought us the item, he said he found it in another section. By this time, there was a different employee working at customer service… when we went to take our item she told us it wasn’t paid for. We told her that it was, but she didn’t believe us. She pursued to ARGUE with us about whether we paid for it! So we took out the receipt confirmation (that was attached to the item) and showed it to her (clear proof). She took it, without saying a word, and stormed off to show someone (or more probably, to save some face). After another seven minutes, she returned back and handed the confirmation paper to us. Didn’t say one word! We stood there for another 60 seconds, waiting for her to either say something, or check us out (sometimes stores have to scan items to indicate they were picked up), and she still didn’t say a thing!!! We knew it was paid for so we left with it, but I was shocked at the audacity of the entire situation. Not any type of apology, or thank you for shopping, nothing.
During another visit, we were paying for our purchase, and the friendly, friendly cashier made a tiny error with the register. We wanted to pay some in cash, and some in credit, but when we handed her the cash, she typed in the wrong amount. Therefore, the register didn’t know we still owed money. No big deal to us, it happens, and she was so apologetic and sweet. For 30 minutes, however, she tried to fix it, asking different people for help… They were all so nasty and rude to the poor girl! Plus, none of them knew what to do!!! We felt so bad for her, she was so nice and kept apologizing to us, it wasn’t a big deal, it’s a teeny tiny mistake, this was probably her first job. She was so afraid to get in trouble, I felt so bad!!! They all yelled at her, yet none of them could fix it!!! The main manager that was suppose to be «the one» who knew what to do, had no clue how to fix it either! Honestly I could’ve probably climbed over and figured it out myself. (The cashier probably could’ve too, but she was so afraid of making an error, which makes sense working with people like that!). They ended up telling her to process the transaction over and just make a note at the end of her shift since her drawer would be off! Unbelievable! That girl was probably their sweetest employee in the whole store, and that’s how they treat her! I wish I would’ve gotten all their names, but as usual we were in even more of a rush thanks to their horrible service. Haven’t gone in there since that happened. I resist random, decent, sales they have for this reason. It’s just not worth it. This store needs a major reform of management and customer service principles. It’s possible that there’s one or two good managers there, if so, I never met them (I hate identifying «all» in a negative manner knowing there could be a few I haven’t dealt with).
Oh and another time, maybe almost a year ago, a female manager at this Kmart told me I couldn’t use coupons printed off the internet!!! It was a legitimate coupon from
!!! I literally was laughing, I was like, um what? So condescending too. I checked their policy when I got home, and it said otherwise. What a joke.

Wow. This place is a bona fide nightmare. Note to self: Don’t ever come back here ever again… for anything. Not even for shelter during a zombie apocalypse. I waited in line for almost 30 minutes to pay for two folding chairs. Not worth it at all. The cashiers move at a snail’s pace and look as though they would rather be anywhere but in that store. I can’t say I really blame them… this place is a retail hellhole. I wasn’t crazy about the crowd of shoppers in there either. I’ll be stopping somewhere else next time.

This place attracts nothing but trash and it employs trash. I bought clippers and on the box it said $ 10.99. I went to go pay for it but it came out to $ 11.99 plus tax. The trash girl at the cash register saw that and didn’t even try to fix it. When I asked her about the price, obviously, she was nothing but classy. Hahaha yea right. I wanted to take the clippers and shove it down her throat.
KMart, Target is going to wipe the floor with you if you employ idiots like the one I encountered.

Grunge. This place is the pits. While you can find random items you may need, the store is just untidy. I feel dirty while I am there and dirtier when I leave. The parking lot is gross and so is the store. The workers joke around too much and curse throughout the store. Someone needs to fix this place & now!

OK, it’s K-​mart. How exciting can that be, really?
Well, not really exciting, but this is a pretty good K-​mart, as far as they go. It’s big, they’ve got a good selection of basic, useful items. In the past, they’ve agreed to match online-​only advertised prices for me in-​store, which is something to appreciate (especially when, for whatever mysterious reason, the K-​mart web system refuses to ship to my house).
It’s also happened more than once that items here have scanned for (much) less than the listed prices, which is always a bit, yes, exciting. ;-) (shhh!)
My most recent trip; I picked up a huge selection of Halloween candy — and hey, they beat Pathmark’s prices! That’s cool by me!
