This place is a joke and overpriced. I did the 1 hour couples massage with champagne and chocolates. The massage was not even a full hour. She clocked me once I stepped foot into the place– not when I was laying down on the table. I should have gotten another 10 minutes but I didn’t say anything. The «chocolates» were a joke– 2 pieces of hard chocolate (think Hershey’s kisses). Once again– LOL. JOKE. Will never go back. My masseuse was nice but nothing to brag about. My groupon expired and they still would not honor it. I paid the difference in cost AND $ 20 tax. AGAIN– FUCKING JOKE. Should’ve just waited for you to go out of business so I could get a refund on my groupon.

Purchased a couples massage on groupon. I was hesitant on purchasing the groupon because of all the negative reviews on Unilocal but let me tell you I was not disappointed. I called to set up an appointment and the receptionist was super nice and helpful not to mention returned my call promptly. I got an appointment for the very next day. Inside, the place seemed very clean and cute. But most importantly, we left feeling like a million bucks! I would definitely go back!

Nice interior, very nice receptionist. I was able to get an appointment on short notice for a couples massage. I was given a groupon that was $ 99 for the $ 330. I am so glad that the person whom bought me this gift did not pay over $ 100. Wasn’t even worth going. I felt like I paid just to have oil put on me. It wasn’t unpleasant but it wasn’t what I would call a massage. I’ve never gotten a massage before so I think if it was at least decent I would’ve been happy, but I was just lightly pet for an hour. My boyfriends massuse was slightly better, but I think due to a scheduling error with the employees the receptionist gave me my massage. Total rip off, I would not recommend this place. Although they were nice and clean! Oh yea, and if you leave a message thereby plays for the whole reception area to hear, then when the girl checked the message she played it on speaker also. I thought that was odd and not setting a relaxing mood. So for my second massage I will Definitely not go here!

I got a couple’s massage last week with Chanda and Frank. I rarely write reviews, but even after a week, I can’t let this go. The massage with Frank started off fine. He told me to tell him if he was exerting too much pressure or if i was uncomfortable at any time, but apparently he didn’t mean what he said. He started to massage my neck and ran his hand through my ears. I just got my tragus pierced so it really hurt when he pressed it. I understand he didn’t know this so I politely asked him to not touch that area. For some reason, he took this personally and got offended. He ignored my request and ran his hands up my neck, and pressed down on my ears again. I asked him politely to please avoid that area in case he misunderstood the first time. He didn’t respond or apologize and proceeded to massage my feet, which was fine. But then, he proceeded to massage my neck again and my ears!!! I just told you I was in pain, so I repeated myself very politely asking him not to touch this area. He slapped his hands down on his knees and rudely said «Well, what am I supposed to do then? Huh? Flip over.» He was very rude and unprofessional. I didn’t say anything because I was so shocked and almost in tears. The rest of the massage was pretty awkward after that incident. Apparently he’s been in this field for 17 years, so I’m not sure why he lost his cool after I made the simple request not to touch me in a certain place. This was inexcusable. There were two pros though– the ambiance was great in the private suite (despite the fact that the champagne room was freezing) and Chanda was very good according to my boyfriend. Regardless, I’d never come back to this place after he made me feel that way.

I can write Unilocal reviews on food for days but spas are not my forte. However, I’ve had a number of massages over the years, usually on vacations and I can say that the massage I received at Island Bliss was the best I’ve ever had.
I took the one hour Swedish massage. I bought the deal on groupon and wish I read these reviews and learned that you don’t need to buy one on groupon, they’ll honor the groupon price.
The staff was very warm and welcoming and my masseuse was great. The place itself is small but well decorated and furnished to give you a nice spa feel even though you’re in the middle of a strip of stores on Victory.
I’ll certainly be returning. I see some reviews for the couples massage so maybe I’ll give that a shot.
I’ve got a reason to get a massage more than just once a year now.

Bought a Groupon for a couple’s massage on May 8^th. Although some (not all) of my messages were returned, It took me two months to get in touch with them without playing phone tag and being put straight to voicemail every single time. I also sent two e-​mails within this period. My boyfriend had an appointment there and called to confirm the time, and I called shortly after to make my appointment… his phone call was returned a few hours later and mine was not returned at all. This spa PURPOSELY delays their business to Groupon customers and it is very obvious. Once I finally got in touch with them yesterday, July 14^th, my Groupon was long expired and I had to pay $ 60.00 extra to equal the full price of their couples massage. The woman I was in touch with was very nasty and not accommodating at all. In fact, she completely insulted us and refused our service after I threatened to write a negative review. I got my refund and made an appointment elsewhere. I do not recommend this spa to anyone, especially Groupon users.

We just had a Couples Massage through a groupon with Ina and Julie. The spa is charming and inviting: spotless, interesting art on the walls. It smelled nice. We came in a little early to fill out a short health history form, and Ina went over it with us, making sure our massage would be appropriate for us. The massages were wonderful, soothing and relaxing. Afterward, we were invited to sit in a cozy, private sitting room to enjoy our glasses of champagne and chocolate, a Lovely way to relax after a massage instead of rushing out into the cold cruel world. We met the owner on our way out. She was very gracious, hoping we’d had a good experience, which we assured we did.

Everyone was welcoming and explained things nicely. I got a couples massage as a gift and it wasn’t too hard to make an appointment with them. However, I didn’t feel very relaxed when I got the massage. It was difficult to relax when you can here the doors opening and closing outside and hearing other customers speak. Also, they massaged my feet and then ended with a massage on my face. I’m a clean person but it’s still an unpleasant feeling knowing you rubbed my toes which touched your floor when I undressed before rubbing on my face.

This place is wonderful. I purchased a groupon for a couples massage package for my boyfriend’s birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The front desk was sweet, knowledgeable, and treated us with respect even after knowing about the Groupon (which is sometimes rare, and speaks to how wonderful everyone there is). After we were served cucumber water and offered chocolate kisses, my boyfriend and I were escorted to a warm room with calming music, asked to get undressed. Both our masseurs were talented, and understanding of our requests (I prefer low — medium pressure), and worked out the kinks in both of our backs. Part of the package allowed for champagne and light refreshments, which were also pleasant. The best part? This place honors their groupon price, so you can still get their deals even after you’ve been there before. I will definitely be a return customer!

We traveled from NJ after buying a Groupon. On the phone I had a miscommunication with the woman and thought we booked Feb 7^th when it was really March 7^th. After traveling there on the wrong day the very kind woman at the front (I wish I got her name) accommodated us and let us come back today (Valentine’s Day). Can I say I did not mind traveling back after a wonderful massage! My bf and I were very surprised and impressed with the massage therapists. Great room as well. After we were done we had champagne and the cutest array of treats. The only downfall is we wanted to do the Shaba and were not given the opportunity to. We would travel back to Staten Island again to go!

So. I bought a groupon for $ 100 for a deep tissue couples massage and called every day for weeks to make an appointment. I didn’t get a call back until the groupon was expired despite leaving my name and number on their answering machine every day for two weeks. I am now short $ 100. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

AMAZING! They were so focused on what i wanted and how I felt. They always asked. The girl focused on my pains and took them right out. Even showed me some stretches to help the pain. I can’t wait to go back. I highly highly recommend this place!

Went to this place about a month ago. Surprised my boyfriend with it. Totally loved it. They were so personable and nice. The massages were great and very relaxing. I paid a bit more for chocolate covered strawberries, they were delicious. And the champagne was good. All in all for the price we paid it was well worth it!

Can i just say WOW!!! This day spa is the best kept secret on the island. I am in love. MY massage was amazing… I had the pre natle massage and it was amazing! I was greated with tea and cookies. Front desk is so professional and nice, The massage was AMAZING. i cant wait to go back and feel like i am on a tropical island! you are threated like royal from the moment you walk in. i will be back soon.

This is a great spa a friend referred to us and they have been more than professional and timely with our appointments, not to mention the top notch quality.

My first Couples massage: dont see the «romance» behind it. But I will not go back to them. I heard when people came to the front door, not relaxing. The masseuses were good but not personable at the end they just abruptly stopped said ur session has ended and walked out. Fruit (brown slices of apple), chocolates (lindt truffle), champagne (cook’s I think) and no cheese was served in a separate room after we got dressed also felt odd.

I had a wonderful time here! I went for a couples massage with my boyfriend, I purchased this as a birthday gift for him and we had an AMAZING time. The customer service was exceptional, the spa itself was very cozy, romantic, but they were also very professional and the massages made us feel like we were brand new! Loved the shower after with the champagne and chocolates. Loved the intimate setting, and I would definitely recommend this place. I live in Washington Heights and trooped it in public transportation to SI. I would do it all over again any day :) ! THANKS FOR THE AMAZING TIME!

Went here for a couples massage with my boyfriend recently. The front desk was very welcoming, warm & helpful. The massage therapists were friendly, attentive and personable. The champagne & sweets were a nice touch and I loved that we had our own space for them. 1 minor suggestion, but NOT A NEGATIVE — use another hot towel to wipe off feet; the towel used on our backs had gotten cold and was a bit of a surprise. Overall, though, FANTASTIC experience!

Just came back from having a couples massage with my girl and couldn’t be happier. Andres really worked me over with a deep tissue massage and Kathleen worked some kinks out with a Swedish massage for my girl. Clean establishment, a welcoming staff and an overall great experience. Our only gripe was that the steam shower shouldn’t be $ 20 a person, $ 10 at most or maybe even complimentary. I’d definitely make a return visit and I live in brooklyn.

Purchased an hour deep tissue massage with champagne and chocolate my massage was started 3 minutes late and stopped 5min early. No champagne no chocolates just a tiny red solo cup of warm water .
I do not recommend !
