Elm Park Grocery

Guilty pleasure here. This bills itself as a grocery, but unless you’re in a pinch for onions or milk, I’d try another location for produce. I stop in fairly regularly for the empanadas. They have fresh breakfast sandwiches, but the chicken, beef, and breakfast empanadas are ready and waiting for you in a display case. That being said, yes, I’m thinking hygiene is a little questionable, but guess how many ducks I give! At $ 2 a pop, I highly recommend chicken or beef. Usually, you find them with a ton of fleet like potato or boiled egg, but not here. It’s filled solely with well seasoned meat. I wasn’t a fan of their egg, bacon, and cheese pockets. The bacon is wobbly and I can’t handle too much processed American cheese product.
I can’t speak to their deli offerings, but they have a nice selection of Boar’s Head meats and in house salads. Overall, this is a quick stop for a bite or coffee if you’re around the Bayonne.

This place is small but they have a great lunch selection.

If I could give these ppl 0 stars I would. Messed up part is I wish I could say it’s because the food sucks but that’s not the case just their delivery driver and customer service sucks. My coworkers and I order here on a daily basis n no matter how early we call you will never get ur lunch on time. so if ur on a timed lunch don’t even bother.. You call the manager to ask n he just makes excuses for the driver claiming he can’t find him. I know things happen because we’re all human and that’s y we kept ordering but this place continuously does it blames the driver they apparently can’t find n thinks there’s nothin wrong with it. I’m all about small businesses and support but these ppl r jus straight assholes. I could officially say I give up on this place !!! There’s no hope for this place if the owner or manager doesn’t find his balls n get a new driver.

Solid deli
Good for breakfast, egg sandwiches etc
Make sure to specify at least 2 eggs on the sandwich
Sausage egg and cheese is great
Above average deli sandwiches always freshly sliced
Lunch specials are good, eggplant, chicken wings, chicken parmigiana, meatloaf usually around 6 dollars
Good value for the plate you get
Soups of the day etc always good
People working the Counter are great
Nice family owned business

My company starting getting daily faxes from Elm Park with their daily lunch specials and after one lunch order my office was hooked!
The food here is so tasty and good. You actually look forward to eating the food, you’re not just eating because you’re hungry and there’s nothing else around.
They have dishes such as stuffed shells with meatballs or crispy chicken with homemade macaroni and salad or chicken marsala.
Lunch special are usually between $ 6-​$ 6.50 but you get big portions. Totally worth it.
