We are a full-​service NYC based tour operator offering customized tour packages. We also feature an array of walking and specialty tours, guides and concierge services. For the consumer market or business community, our staff works one-​to-​one to produce a successful NYC experience.

History

Established in 2007.

In 2007, Claudia and Meredith, a mother and daughter duo, decided that customers needed a local tour operator who could provide customized tour packages from native New Yorkers. They decided to include walking tours and carefully developed those that would be attractive to a general population, some with the «off the beaten path» flavor in all five boroughs. As former educators with more than 50+ years of combined service, Claudia and Meredith have worked with schools, designing tours aligned to curricula or are performance based.

Business Owner

Native New Yorkers, Meredith and Claudia have memories of visiting places that represent the City and want to show them off to others. Meredith is a ITMI trained tour director and Claudia has followed in her footsteps. Meredith’s expertise is history and culture (former Social Studies teacher) and Claudia’s expertise is STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). They are conversant in Spanish and Japanese (Meredith) and Hebrew (Claudia). If asked about why they started Cititrek, they would tell you: «We have the opportunity to meet people from all over the globe and show them the greatness of my hometown, New York!»
