Worst service ever came in for a takeout order restaurant is completely empty not s single person eating there. They tell me to come back in 30 minutes for an order of soup and two kebabs. 45 minutes later they are still not done

We decided to celebrate our daughter’s B-Day here. The service was very thoughtful, the food for the most part was good. Fried potatoes with mushrooms, smoked fish and the tuna salad all stood out. Liver and shish were not so fresh and well executed. The ambiance is pretty nice. However, the whole idea of us coming out to a restaurant like this as a whole big family(there were 23 of us) was to dance to our hearts contend. We got non of that, we were told that their brilliant Italian singer was sick and so they just had this guy Dima as a replacement. What an unprofessional and tasteless dj/singer he was. We were the only ones in the restaurant and when we asked him to lower the music a little he first said that he wouldn’t be able to hear himself and on the second request he said he could just turn the music off all together. His music sucked so much that even a dance fanatic as myself almost didn’t dance, then when I requested he play some dancy music that you’d find on the radio he told me he was upset that no one was dancing. How amazingly rude and after this he put on some weird stuff. That was the end of the party for me. We let a little after 10pm, my husband being a Gentleman he is tipped him $ 50, although that kind of talk did not deserve any, Dima takes his stuff and leaves before we are gone. Had the restaurant called us ahead and told us the the Italian singer was not coming I would’ve appreciated that, but because they did not, We’ll find another place next time. Too bad, because otherwise the restaurant deserved more than three stars

Came to a kids birthday that was hosted on Saturday for lunch. The place looks decent after renovation. The food served was disgusting Tuna wraps — deli quality Dumplings –dry from Russian store freezer Mozzarella sticks — dry How is this even a Russian place??? But if the food wasn’t bad the price was ridiculous There was 24 adults and 12 kids Agreement was to pay $ 40 for adults only(would be cheaper to order real food) So they up charged for all the kids!!! At $$ 40 when they didn’t even it eat the nasty non kid friendly food Total was over 1k for basically renting a hall for 4 hours during off hours for some very nasty food Never again

for Staten Island its a nice restaurant. Its very cozy, the food is great and so is the service. The price is a little steap for this type of an establishment.

Lamb chops and shashlick(kebab in Russian) platter are both really good. Foie gras served on pineapple slice with raspberry sauce was awesome. Nice décor for the type of place it it. Reasonable prices, will stop back next time I am in the area.
