I’m very pleased they took such great care of shampooing and cleaning my tiny Chihuahua. very quick 15 min service. they gave her a complimentary pink hankerchief afterwards, and separated her from the other big dogs for her safety while she waited for us to pick her up. thanks you guys were excellent

I set up an appointment at this cute little shop close to home for my pup. There are no cages, the pups run around behind a gate which is very cute and great for my anxious dog. When I went to pick her up, she looked great! But as I got home I noticed how choppy and uneven her cut was. One side of her face was significantly longer than the other, so were the ears. the hair under the collar was not cut nor was the hair around her backside! Then I noticed a faint trail of blood, it seems that one nail was cut too short and just kept bleeding. I know that accidents happen and pets can be difficult but I just wish that someone would have told me that the nail was cut a bit short and to keep an eye on it because it was very alarming to see the blood. We went to the vet and they were able to take care of it but I just don’t appreciate not being told. The total price was also significantly higher than other groomers I have taken my dog to.

I was calling around on 2÷5÷2016 a few different groomers on the island. This place by far had the best pricing. My dog is about 8 lbs long haired chihuahua. They charged me $ 28/​w tax to wash her dry her and shave her extra hair around her rear end. Other places on the island quoted me 75 for the works and 45 for just a wash. The people were sweet they fit me in same day and even called me when she was running a little behind. My dog has never felt so soft, and they sent her home with a cute little bandana. I would recommend. And would definitely go back.

First grooming success! Friendly service and Rousseau was totally clean in 30 minutes!
He smells so good, and he seemed to enjoy his time being pampered and eating cookies.
They’re good about making sure all the dogs stay separate so there aren’t any issues.
We will be coming back!

Great experience as the owner and groomer were so patient with me!
I brought in my rescue poodle who had been bathed but not groomed in 6 months, I had an idea of a trim to keep her fluffy. Well, they gave her a summer cut as she needed it, due to my inexperience with a poodles hair. I was freaked out that it was so short when I came back — but it grew out so beautifully! An amazing cut.
My dog was happy to be there too! Overall great place.
The groomers at Barking Palace know what they are doing!

I had my pomeranian and Yorkie groomed on Wednesday, 9÷9÷15. Staff was friendly, place was clean and I loved that no cages are used for the dogs that are either waiting to be groomed or waiting to be picked up after grooming. Dogs are happily running around. My biggest complaint is both my dogs faces were unevenly cut. Not just one dog but both which leads me to think more experience is required here when doing scissor cuts. I didn’t point it out to the groomers when picking up my dogs because it was downpouring rain and I was focusing on paying for the service and getting them to the car without getting them soaked. Once home, the uneven facial cut was so obvious when they looked up at me. I can’t even come up with an excuse as to why the groomer didn’t see it. Pomeranian had one side of his face closely cut while the other side was full & fluffy. The Yorkie’s beard had two pieces of hair quite longer than the rest of the beard. Please look at your pooch (s) before leaving and ensure the cut is even. That should be the groomers job but it wasn’t during my dogs grooming.

Best place on the island. My dog and i have had some had a some bad experiences. Barking Palace does a great job giving him the cut I want.

Door was locked when I arrived. A dog was getting his paw nails shaved when I arrived and he seemed nervous. I was asked to fill out basics on form, dog name, my name and phone and I signed a waiver. no special introduction being our first time and no docs necessary to present on up to date vaccinations. I was given an hour and a half time frame. I asked for oatmeal shampoo and a close shave for summer time. I went after an hour and 15 to pick her up and she was ready. She looked great and had a cute purple bandana.

Great experience!
Took my 5 month old pup here for a wash and nail trim. Had first time jitters being a new mom but the staff was very friendly, even when he had initial sassiness with some other pups in the shop they handled it seamlessly.
Service took about 45 minutes and they called when he was about 5 minutes from being done. For his size/​coat it was $ 35 which I felt was reasonable. He smells great and is a very happy camper! Complimentary bandana was tied like a bow tie, so cute! Highly recommend.

I have been coming to this place for over a year and I won’t go anywhere else.
Amy the owner and groomer is fantastic, she gets to know you on a personal basis wit your dog knowing his name by the second time you there and by the third she knows exactly how you want your haircut without even asking unless you have a new request.
Your appointment is always on time and they don’t take long for you to come and pick up your pooch who always comes out smelling fantastic and looking so adorable with there hanker chief for the occasion. Nails are trimmed, hair is blown out and looking shiny and tangle free.
The salon is pretty spacious and you get to see the other adorable dogs that are hanging out there waiting for there bath or for there owners to pick them up.
I would chose this place over a huge groomer salon anyway, its more private and personal and Amy does a wonderful job each time.

I’ve been come to the Barking Palace for my 7lbs Maltese for about 6 months and I love this place! The groomers are really friendly and listen to exactly the type of cut I want done. They don’t use cages so the dogs can interact with each other before and after their grooming and my dog is usually done with a full haircut within 2 hours

Barking Palace lost a small dog… they had been boarding him … he is adorable and well loved by many people in the neighborhood who wound up searching for him deep into the night… His absence caused great pain for all of those involved… the dog wandered back after ten hours.

I am very happy to not have to go to a superstore to get my dogs groomed. A quick walk from my home and my pups are in good hands. They come home happy, and are actually happy to be there. They get very anxious when they know they’re going there too.
