An honest auto mechanic is a scarce commodity here on swinging Staten Island … Angelo Leotta’s Auto Repair is DEFINITELY one and I will go back to them … I had a catalytic converter that needed replacing and the local Honda dealer wanted $ 1800, so instead I got it done here at Leotta’s for $ 650 using Honda parts … I’ve bought other cars to them in the past and found they fix the problem right the first time and make no unnecessary repairs.
I can’t say enough nice things about this place!

Terrible service. Was told I would receive a call when my car was done. However, hours and hours went by without a call. Finally I had to call them myself and was told the car would be done by close and that I could pick it up that night. I showed up 15 mins before closing time and the shop was closed up and locked! I could hear someone inside but no matter how many times I knocked or called their number they just ignored me.
When I came back the next morning to pick up the car the woman was rude and ignored my complaint. She didn’t even apologize about the fact that they caused me a huge inconvenience! I would not go back.

I have been coming to Leotta’s for about 15 years and have always relied on Mario to provide excellent service and honesty. That is what keeps me coming back. There have been times when I was convinced I needed major work and it turned out to be minor. The ability for a professional auto serviceman to maintain his standard of honesty above profit is something you don’t typically see, especially if you usually bring your car back to the dealer who is more than willing to oversell.
I would highly recommend Mario, his dad Angelo, and the whole team to maintain your car in top shape.
