I started seeing the doctor for my insomnia a few years ago.
I have to say, the facility was very clean, no dust anywhere and the techs were very friendly.
Aside from being an insomniac, I’ve always had shortness of breath. Since the age of 15, I was told I was having panic attacks… but I never felt anxious. My Dr put me on medication that made me groggy, but didn’t relieve my symptoms. Fast forward 20 years later, I’m told I have a heart condition and it beats TOO fast… Okay no more cardio, started taking heart meds, I gained 30 pounds in one month. I took the meds for several years, it didn’t slow my heart rate or lower my blood pressure… which is high due to the weight gain. So I stopped the meds. No difference at all.
Five years later, in the ER because I can’t breathe, I’m told one lung is larger than the other, no problem, just bronchitis, I was given a nebulizer and sent home.
I think my entire life I’ve been out of breath. I’ve always felt as tough I’ve just run a few miles.
Now I’ve been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, similar to lupus and also cardiomyopathy, I’m told that those are probably the reason for the enlarged lung… the autoimmune disease causes inflammation. It all makes sense. I take several different medications all day long. My hair is breaking, falling out and I still can’t breathe.
Dr Fadil was the only Dr out of so many I’ve been to see that asked if I had pets at home. The answer was yes, two dogs and a cat. He set up a day for me to have allergy testing.
Whew! I’m not allergic to dogs or cats… I do however, have food allergies one of them being soy. SOY is in EVERYTHING! It’s been challenging to find food without soy, I’m so limited with what I can eat. It was even in the anti-​inflammatory I was taking daily. Who would ever have thought that the medication, shampoo and healthy food choices were causing so much inflammation internally that it was so severe I couldn’t breathe.
I can’t thank Dr Fadil enough for thinking out of the box. Not once ever did anyone check for allergies.
I can breathe again. I’m so happy because I cried everyday, thinking that this is only progressively going to become worse. WOW, what a relief. My stomach isn’t bloated and I can really breathe. I hope that since I realized there’s soy in WEN, that my hair will stop falling out.
He’s one of the few doctors that take the time to listen to the symptoms and look at the whole picture.

If there was ever a time I wished that I could give zero stars on Unilocal,now is the time.
I do not recommend this doctor! My experience with Dr. Fadil and Northeast Insomnia Sleep Medicine has been disturbing to say the least.
I’ve seen Dr. Fadil about a dozen times over the last (almost) three years, including two sleep studies, in both cases a classic overnight study followed by a «nap» test the next morning/​afternoon.
First and foremost his bedside manner is appalling. At my most recent appointment, the doctor told me that losing weight would alleviate many of my symptoms. I explained that although I have made efforts to lose weight through diet and exercise, I have continued to gain weight. At this time I also reminded Dr. Fadil that my inability to lose weight was one of my most prominent symptoms. He then LAUGHED at me and said, «well, that’s everyone’s excuse!» Later in the conversation, he suggested that I start taking green bean coffee extract to assist in my weight loss efforts. I told him I had already been doing so for a month and gained two pounds even while taking the supplements. Dr. Fadil then actually asked me, as he tried to contain his giggles, if I was «dipping the pills in my haagen daz». This is only a very small piece of what has given me cause to believe that Dr. Fadil is unprofessional and unethical.
I had to request all of my records so that I could seek a second opinion. When I first picked up my records, half of them were missing. When I called to request my complete file, the office seemed hesitant to provide me with the rest of my documentation. I had to wait a full day for a call back to confirm that I could pick up the rest of my records, which by the way is my legal right– even though they made it out like they were doing me a tremendous favor.
Additionally, I believe this Doctor ordered unnecessary testing. I had two sleep studies down in less than three years even though my symptoms did not change and the first sleep study provided conclusive evidence for a diagnosis.
I also believe he falsified my records. There were several erroneous notes in my file. For example, my file has notes of reports I made to the doctor that are the exact opposite of what both my husband and I actually reported to the doctor during my appointments. The file also has my vital signs documented for each appointment. The doctor took my vitals at my first appointment only. The file also refers to my neck measurement. Not only is the measurement completely incorrect, no one at Northeast Insomnia ever took the measurement to begin with.
My experience with Dr. Fadil has been upsetting in many ways. It seemed to me that he had many priorities in my treatment, none of them being my well-​being. Do not see this Doctor!!!
