I waited a month for an available appointment to have a consultation about options to address a few skincare matters I’d like to improve. I called the morning of my appointment to let the office know I caught some traffic that put me about 10 minutes behind schedule. I would expect a professional to be happy for the heads up but I was shocked at the receptionist’s attitude that was as if I was bothering her as she muttered something like«ugh» and practically hung up on me. When I arrived the«Mob Wives» wannabe receptionist was just as rude in person, and again I felt as though I was somehow an annoyance to her just by stepping up to the desk and stating my name and that I was 10 minutes late for my appointment with Lynn. She seemed to be gathering a clipboard and paperwork for me to fill out as she demanded to see my driver’s license. Since I was only there for a no-strings skincare consult I thought this an odd request and asked what that was for. «IDENTIFICATION» she snarled condescendingly, stating the obvious which made it no more obvious to me why my identification was being requested for a skincare consultation at a medi-spa — though her attitude made clear she thought I must be a moron not to know this… like it’s standard protocol everywhere or something. I’ve never heard of being treated as though I committed a traffic infraction while visiting a medi-spa. When I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that information when I’ve not even had a consultation yet she snapped«See ya!» and abruptly tossed the clipboard and paperwork she was about to hand me aside very rudely. So unfortunately the rigidly arbitrary policies and unfriendly reception at A Spa Above prevented me from finding out what they may have to offer. I’m only interested in investing in long term relationships with the businesses I patronize. When I’m treated poorly from the start I pay attention. That is a huge red flag and I’m done. I’m careful not to allow a new source of stress or aggravation penetrate my realm — especially not at a day spa! I’m pleased to have found another medi-spa in nearby NJ in the interim month of waiting for my appointment. The doctor there takes a moderate approach to innovative technologies and seems to consider less as more. She was knowledgeable and took her time addressing all my questions and concerns. The doctor, her staff, and everyone I saw in the waiting room looked very natural, beautiful and not«done» at all, her prices are reasonable, no long wait for an appointment, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and there are no ridiculous policies that invade my privacy… I’ll stick with that medi-spa and forget the second opinion from A Spa Above.

Absolutely love this place! Lynn is awesome, she is very knowledgable about all the services and explains them in detail. She helps pick the one that is right for your skin. Each time I go back my experience is better than the last! Highly recommend this place and will continue to come back.

I made a June 8th, Saturday, consultation appointment, for 1:15 pm, which was changed by Linda on June 6th, Thursday, to 11 am. When Saturday, June 8th arrived I was unable to make the 11am appointment, so I called Linda at 10 am, and asked if I can come my initial 1:15 pm appointment. I was told«NO» because I was not one of their ongoing clients and my cancelling the 11 am appointment made Linda unavailable now on for Saturday. Also, to make an appointment, I would have to wait a month for a weekday. Wow…I didn’t even step foot in this place and I am receiving an attitude??? How can they expect good reviews and recommendations?
