Excellent! I am a total noob to Philippine cuisine… But the owners were so courteous and were insisting I try a sample to ensure I liked it. It was a difficult choice because everything was really good. — I especially loved the pork with shrimp paste; it was purple and looked strange but tasted wonderful. There was a very nice patron there too which offered a champaign mango to me… Those are my favorites! A great place to stop! I highly recommend checking this place out!!!

I went to Maynila because I wanted to try something new. Also, because it is homecooked food, I was even more excited to try! It looks a little shady when you look from the outside, but once you go in, you feel as though you are right at home because all employees are very friendly here, and treat you like family. I’ve never had filipino food, but a friend I went with has tried homecooked filipino food before at her best friend’s house, and she loves it! I loved it, too! We tried beef blood stew, shanghai rolls, chicken adobo, another chicken dish, and pork and peas, and cassava. They were fantastic! all except the beef blood stew. Some of these dishes were on the house which is very generous of them. $ 6.00 for an order of rice with two sides, not bad at all! I will definitely return. Check out more of my review with pics here to read about the specifics of each dish.

Was looking for a place that reminded me of breakfast at home. This place is tucked into the Top Tomato grocery center. Its a turo-turo place with filipino groceries lining the walls. Highlights were the savory pork asado was yummy, the chunks of pork were so delicious with just the right amount of fat. The bangus was delicious too, boneless with a nice stripe of fat on the bottom. Good generous portions, for about $ 6? i don’t remember what the prices of the combos actually came out to. Other delicious items i spied were the pinakbet, diniguan, bbq. It was on the cheaps, and when I’m in the area I will definitely stop by
