This restaurant, on the top floor of Harvey’s Casino and Hotel(an offshoot, I think, of Harrah’s) takes up the entire nineteenth floor of the resort. You can sit at the bar — there’s a ‘bar menu,’ limited but appealing — or in the restaurant, and the view is excellent from both(if being seated in the restaurant, ask if you can possibly have a window table. The bread comes in two varieties — garlic sourdough(which I loved and my friend, who doesn’t usually like sourdough, ended up liking very much), and a sunflower seed bread, also very good. I ordered the daily ahi preparation, in this case quickly seared with a crust of black and white sesame seeds and sesame oil, and served on a bed of somen noodles in a delicate sweet/savory broth. It was beautifully prepared and presented, and tasted wonderful! My friend had the Chilean Sea Bass, which she didn’t like as much as she thought she would(her first time with that particular fish). Oh, and we started with an oyster sampler each — six oysters, three of each type, and each with a briny freshness that tickled the tongue! I finished with the limoncello tiramisu, which, to my mind, was far better than the traditional coffee-based dessert, and it was clearly freshly made. We went here on our last night in Tahoe and I thought it was a good end to the trip

Wait staff was great, Frank the Maitre D’ was awesome. Our reservation was lost some how and they got us in right away anyway. Coffee and cocoa rubbed steak was amazing. Prices for pasta may be high but go with the steaks, it’s worth it.

Came with a group of 6. This place was pricey, but very good. we started with apps Wedge Salad– Awesome, blue cheese crumble with Blu cheese dressing, real bacon chunks, not slivers, and of all things, and onion ring on top. Definitely suggest. Lobster Mac and Cheese. OHMYGAWD!!! Please offer a big plate of this! I mean a big heaping plate! One of the best things ive ever had. Also had 2 types of Oysters, Oysters are not my thing, but they were good. Just dont care for them Entrees I had the Rib eye with Blu Cheese butter on top.(I wont do that again, next time on the side) The rib eye had the bone, but was smaller then a cowboy rib eye. Cooked perfectly! The Blu Cheese and butter was to over powering and took away from the meat, but an easy scrap off took care of that. The meat alone was perfectly seasoned, and would be perfect on its own. Came with Asparagus and some great garlic mash. My wife had Chicken, but this wasn’t ordinary chicken, it was some of the best chicken ive ever had. juicy, and flavorful. Funny thing was, it was the cheapest thing on the menu, and had me wishing i had ordered it, even though my Rib eye was great.

Maybe good for the view, otherwise — waste of money and health(felt awful when I got home). The food is just mediocre. DOESNOT stand to the price charged.

So 4 of us had a highly anticipated dinner last night at 19. We have been coming here to Lake Tahoe for a few years and finally went. We had a 730 reservation and we’re seated pretty close to our time. We asked for a window table, I’m sure everyone does, they were able to accommodate our request. We were almost immediately greeted by our server, he took wine and dinner orders and left the table, 2 people in the party order wine by the glass, one wine arrived, the other did not, even after repeated requests to the waiter(who seemed either very busy or very distracted, I expect they know they are going to be busy on a Saturday night) anyway after about 20 mins he finally brought the second glass, we told him ot was too late, he offered apologies and the wine for free. It also took some doing to get bread brought too us. Appetizers were served! The oysters were beautiful and delicious, the Lobster corn chowder was good, but the Scallop Risotto was the star! Entrees, Rib eye was sizeable and looked delicious, I didn’t try any but I was told it was good! I had the Pork Chop, well cooked, season and delicious. We also ordered the famed Sea Bass, It was a little dissapointing, very salty, even I thought so. We summoned the waiter and to tell you the truth, I didn’t like his response. Instead of offering to replace it, he gave us a song and dance about the sauce and pre prep. I called over the manager and guess what, he had a new Sea Bass fired and boy was it good, so the waiter scores a 2 on the scale of 5. Desserts, Order the doughnuts! Dark chocolate and vanilla dipping sauces on the side, the doughnuts were fresh, light and FANTASTIC. Even though we had a little bump in the road, I give this place a 4 and would also come back again!

This was a sad disappointment. Our dear friend, Whom is gambler, raved about this place… so we looked at the menu and thought wow — looks legit… well here are the details of why it is not a great steakhouse — which it is priced as a great steak house — but it was kind of like Sizzler … When we arrived the Host was no whee to be found, then he didn’t even look is on the eye and said — do you have reservations? We realized yes… mind we were there on Tuesday — there was one other table in the place … He didn’t fawn over us, we were a definite imposition… did I mention we like to spend money? From the fat diamond rings the ladies had onto the 20k in purses — you would think the host would be like hey ’ who wants some Vueve to start dinner with ! Wine list everyone ! Nope, that’s not what happened . We were sat right next to the other table. The other table in the place. I know it was dark but we weren’t sat next to a window. ??? The place was empty. Mr .S asked — can we be seated next the window please, the waiter replied ‚” Well this is easier, you can’t really see out the window right now anyways« Oh my… We got the menu — we had a birthday boy with us — he hates seafood — when we looked online this restaurant had a fair amount of land lover dishes… but we got the menu and there was like near nothing for him… we asked the waiter ‚» This isn’t the menu we saw online, did you change it ?” His reply ‚” we only serve the bar menu during the week, if you have something from the other menu you really need I can ask the cook .” — Wow ! Not, oh let me get you that menu or I ‘like ask the chef … The Mac and cheese was great — my abalone, well for starters I wanted steak and lobster… but you can’t have that during the week .so o got abalone — but they should have called in Steak fried abalone because of the amount breaking on it — I could not even taste this delicate treat… it was a waste of my appetite… the filet has not flavor and was a grainy texture… no grill or char at all … We ordered three starter dishes… they couldn’t fit on the tiny table with our glasses… it was a hot mess . I could go on, but why … It is not a fine dining place, albeit the pricing would lead you to believe it was . They have no idea how accommodate patrons whom are looking to really enjoy the evening . There is no chumming up front the staff, we were a compete imposition to all employees — but the bus boy — Jericho, I think — he was all over us and very pleasant . This is a restaurant and casino FAIL. Don’t do it… High light of the night was the cotton candy and the doughnuts they brought of dessert… which is the only reason I gave it two stars — that nice bus boy and the unique and delicious desserts — This place is like a Sizzler, but not as good.

Came here with a group of 13 for a birthday celebration and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! I would give it 4 ½ stars overall. I had the lobster tail and it was delicious! The strange thing on my plate was the roasted potatoes. They did not compliment the lobster and actually were dry and hard. I didn’t eat those but the asparagus was a nice pairing and tasty. We tried many appetizers and sides as we ordered those for all to sample and share. I would highly recommend the tuna tartar and the scallops with mushrooms risotto. Both were incredible! Also popular was the Mac and cheese(I didn’t try it myself but others were raving about it) Service was attentive. Highly recommend for a delicious meal. Forgot to mention the view is incredible from the bar. Try to get there early for a cocktail and catch the sunset before dinner.

The service is great, the view is one of the best you can sea in Tahoe and they had a big group last night so one of the steak come out not as hot so they wave it from the bill without us asking for it High level restaurant, we love it

I took my parents here expecting a relaxing evening after a long day. The food was superb but we were seated next to an obnoxiously loud table. It felt like we were in the middle of a sports bar during the Super Bowl. The staff did try to quiet them down after the tables around us complained, but their efforts were ineffective. Sorry to leave a bad review due to a customer, but I expected them to be able to control the situation better. It was a horrible dining experience overall.

Love this place! Went into the bar to get some apps and drinks. Nikki and Jessica were working. Those 2 are very good at there jobs… It was a busy night and I never felt like I was being passed over. My drink was always filled and they are great to have a conversation with! Gotta check them out! The shrimp flat bread was amazing!

If you’re looking for a nice romantic setting with a gorgeous view, then look no further. This place serves incredible food and is a hidden gem here in Tahoe. My wife & I usually stay at Harvey’s but never tried this restaurant until now. The chilean sea bass was awesome. My wife had the ribeye which I sampled & was great… but not better than my plate. The sides were pretty big, so be careful. The sauteed mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The green beans were done well with the bacon crumbles mixed in. We’ll be back.

My wife and I stayed at Harvey’s on the first leg of a long road trip and made reservations upon the recommendation of the hotel concierge. The view of the lake was beautiful, the food was«good» and the service was flawless, the negative aspects of this review have to due with value. When we booked the reservation through the concierge she asked us if were celebrating anything special. Because this was going to be a very expensive trip overall for us, my wife commented that this was kind of our birthday and anniversary present to ourselves. And the concierge made a note. When we arrived we were graciously greeted and immediately seated at a table with a spectacular view of the the lake. The menu was pricey but we knew that going in. In the list of specials the had a 2+ pound Porterhouse Steak for two(carved at the table) with potato and asparagus sides for a little over $ 100 and that was what we decided on. When it came time to order, our waiter(who was EXCELLENT) informed us that that steak takes nearly ½ hour to cook because it is such a big cut of meat. I have no idea why the menu does not list this little fact so you can be prepared. That is a long time to sit at a table and wait for a meal so while the waiter patiently waited, we rushed to make a second choice. We each ordered the 10 oz fillet, a single order of lobster mashed potatoes to share and a bottle of Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc, which, it turns out is not a full bottle, but one of those mini half bottles. So two steaks, one order of potatoes and a half bottle of wine, … and our tab was $ 148 without the tip. The steaks were served in a HOT cast iron pan which makes for an interesting presentation, but it also means that your meat is continuing to cook long after it gets to your table. So your steak is cooked to medium rare perfection, but the minute or two it takes to get to your table it is now medium and before the meal is through it is well done. Further, at a place and a price such as this, I would expect prime cuts of meat. I KNOW meat, and this was not prime. I promise you. The lobster mashed potatoes were simply mashed potatoes with lobster bisque poured over them. So… Fillet Mignon’s which at PRIME cuts would retail at about $ 15/lb, 210 oz steaks = $ 20 Potatoes for mashing = $ 2 Lobster bisque — Costco sells 2 quarts for $ 12, so a ladles worth on top of an order of potatoes = $ 2 A full bottle of Duckhorn SB retails for about $ 25 The total estimated cost for this meal, had the steaks been prime and a full bottle of wine is about $ 50. Our bill was $ 150. I get mark-up and I am fine with that. I am not even opposed to paying $ 150 for a really nice meal! But, in my opinion this isn’t mark-up, for what you are getting, this is gouging. The ONLY thing that kept this review above water with 3 stars instead of 2 was the EXCELLENT service.

So I have to admit I was a little disappointed. To be fair we’ve eaten here before and it was great but if I had to review just last night unfortunately I have to give three stars. We had a reservation with a view which we did get in the corner by a large wedding party including kids. Don’t get me wrong I love kids and have one of my own so I’m not hating… it’s just we got a sitter to enjoy an adult evening. So they moved us and the next table was fine. We ordered the Kumamoto oysters; our favorite and I must admit they were really good. We shared a wedge also very good. Where they fell down on us was our dinner. The price did not equal the value. We ordered a filet and added a lobster tail to share. The filet was cooked perfectly. The lobster however left room for opportunity. It was flat out bad. You know when you get a bad lobster and it’s super mushy and just completely disintegrates in your mouth? That’s what happened. We cook a lot and we understand that just happens so we asked them to replace it. They did and the second was equally as bad. They took it off our bill but our waiter was just smh… Super just annoyed and not fun sitting in his station.

First time here. Great service from the beginning. All the employees from the hotel recommend this place that it’s very good. Higher expectation now since they say it’s good. First dish oysters was awesome. I love lobsters & seafood in general. And they have Australian Lobsters! It’s a must to order so I order surf and turf! I got half a tail lobster in my surf and turf plate. It was HORRIBLE! The lobster was mushy and soft and so was my husband’s lobster tail dinner. They came and check on us to see how the food was in the beginning of our dinner. Well, it was great so far. By the time I got to my lobster tail. It was horrible. So I ate my short ribs and scallop and steak that was on my plate. So I waited till they come back to let them know about the lobster, they came back to check on us by giving us our bill. We told them that this is not how the lobster should be. The guy told us «well, what do u want us to do? Give you a free dessert or take off portion of your meal? Because we can’t take off the whole meal!» Wow?! Really?! You think we come into this restaurant and order $ 100+ a meal per person and to tell you later that your particular food was bad quality? Someone teach this guy how to deal with situation like this. (It was already fishy from the beginning that my husband’s lobster tail dinner was served as two pieces. The waiter brought out his plate and said«we gave you two half tails, which is even better.» Why in the world would you give me two halves of different lobster tails when I order a whole lobster tail dinner? One of the big piece was also mushy just like my halve of the surf and turf dish.) First of all! No, we do not need a free dessert or need you to give us a discount on our $ 400 dinner. You need to hear out your customer’s complain about your food. If you don’t know good quality when you serve them then you need a lesson! This is not a McDonald you’re working at. He’s going to also tell me «how come you didn’t say anything when in the beginning when I check out you?» Well, it’s because I had a surf and turf so I was in the middle of trying other dishes on my plate and then got to my lobster tail. Usually people call it — save the best for last. But it was shitty! Be understandable that your customer is not happy paying for a $ 100+ per customer to eat bad quality food that you don’t recognized before serving. If you don’t know how to apologize for it go ask the chef or your manager to do it for you! We still gave them over 15% tips because of the people serving us from the beginning was great. Not the dude that came out with his head so high that he don’t know why and what the customer was complaining about. I had to tell them again the second time when he came out with the bill saying«we took off $ 100 meal for you.» This just make me hella laugh in his face but it wasn’t so funny so I couldn’t do it. Ask yourself does it look like we care how much you took off from our tab?! If we sat down in your restaurant to order the best, we expected the best! I told him take a bite of this lobster you serve us so you know what I’m talking about before the first thing that come out of your mouth is asking me if I want free dessert or discount on my food! P. s. I gave you a 3 stars in the beginning of this review and by the end of it. Going over what your employee told me when I told him about how horrible your lobster quality was. I end up giving you a 1 star because that was the lease I can give you! After we paid for the tab, a new waiter came up to us and give us a dessert menu.(it’s ok– he didn’t know we said we didn’t want any dessert) so we decided to order a tiramisu to see how their dessert is like. The same cocky dude came out to take our order. We waited for 15 mins. Another waitress came to us to tell us that they don’t have the tiramisu. It took them 15 mins later to come and tell us that they no longer have that dessert?! Whoever the owner or this place is need to check on your manager to see who is hiring for this place.(A simple apology from the beginning would of got you a forgiveness and more stars than thinking people complained because they want something free!) «nothing free in life is good!» Date visit– July 21, 20158pm dinner. The manager greeting us in was Frank. The rude waiter was skinny and tall– forgot to get his name.

Great views. Bad service. And it was so dark that if you are not looking for a romantic night out, you may want to head elsewhere. But know this was just the bar area. After sitting for awhile, a server finally came over and took our drink order. Unfortunately, the drinks were clearly not made right as they tasted terrible but rather than wait on a replacement we decided just to leave. The other weird thing about this place were the patrons. It’s a BAR people! Leave your babies and children at home. We sat overlooking the lake with a couple on one side of us and a family on the other. And then another family showed up, stroller and all. And on that note we bid the place goodbye. This place could be amazing given the views it has. Unfortunately it’s not. So we settled for another place in town that had no views, but at least our drinks were poured properly!
