Description

Specialties

THRIVE State College offers two distinct programs.

Sports Performance coaching: an innovative approach to training — building on a solid athletic foundation while staying focused on each athlete’s individual goals. Our unique program includes instruction in movement training, injury reduction and rehabilitation, linear and lateral speed techniques, foot speed and agility, explosive power development, proper functional strength training and energy system conditioning.

Adult Functional coaching/Small group personal training: It is designed to

address the most common physical problems that we see in adults: Improving posture muscles, core strength, lumbar spine stability, hip mobility, and flexibility make up the foundation of the program. From that foundation your program then focuses on your specific goals and activities. Being able to stay healthy and injury free as you age, is a key part of your quality of life. Your work and recreational activities will dictate the basis of your customized program. For instance, a dentist that enjoys fly fishing on the weekends has different needs than an accountant that likes to run 5K’s a few times a year. Members will be in a 15 max class, sharing their time with only a few other people while enjoying a significant price break over one-on-one coaching rates.

THRIVE State College also offers personal training for those who want the highest level of individual attention.

History

Established in 2014.

Scott Ludwig, owner of 5-time «Best Health Club in State College» winner, Ki’netik Fitness, saw a need for intelligently-programmed Sports Performance and small group personal training so after much research, decided to open THRIVE State College to meet the market’s needs. Ludwig has coached countless athletes, both high school and collegiate, and brings his decades of experience and passion to this new fitness concept. THRIVE is not only for athletes, but also for those who want a safe, effective, life-long fitness program.
