CDFC programs support and promote children’s developmental potential and well-being and help families obtain quality, affordable, accessible childcare.

History

Established in 1972.

Child Development and Family Council of Centre County, Inc., is a private, non-profit, tax exempt (501C3) organization whose primary goals and accomplishments are geared to support and promote children’s developmental potential and well-being and to enable families to obtain quality, affordable, accessible childcare, while promoting self-sufficiency and financial stability through a wide variety of programs. These high quality programs work to maximize the health, education and welfare of as many children and families as possible– from promoting healthy eating and physical activity to providing varied educational development experiences to children, their parent/caretakers and our staff. All CDFC child care and education centers are Keystone STARS approved. Our target is the child care market place and we work to insure affordability irrespective of income level, through our own scholarship programs and at a larger scale through our administration of CCIS of Centre & Clinton Counties.
