Dr. Chao is amazing. She is caring and kind and always puts the patients needs first. She has done a lot of work on my husband and he has been pleased with everything she has done and is now proud to show off his beautiful smile. We were quoted thousands of dollars at other dentists. Dr. Chao’s treatment plan was SO much more affordable for the exact same work. I highly recommend Dr. Chao!!!

First time have appointment. Not good experience at all. I’ve to wait for 50 mins to be seen. Got few tooth to be sealed (cuz the old filling got chipped) and 1 cavity. I felt the entire appointment too rushing. Dr. Chao did her work too quick and (I’m sorry if I’m wrong) why you didn’t check my bite after finish the filling (by biting on the marked paper, if you know what I’m talking about). Not until I got up from the chair, doesn’t feel right, checked for myself and had to go back again and redo it. Does it STANDARD PRACTICE to do these steps before you let your patient leave office? Now I keep wonder about her work if she did it right.
I gave 2 stars because the dental assistance was nice and dr. Chao considered about my pain tolerance before she did the procedure.

Dr Chao is very friendly. I’m a little confused in that she is the only dentist I’ve visited since early adulthood who *hasn’t* commented on my receding gumline. I even mentioned it to her and she said it was fine, but then during my cleaning she seemed genuinely surprised when cold water over my teeth caused me to wince severely and the ultrasonic cleaning tool make me buck like a mule. ???

She is the best dentist I have ever had! I totally recommend her to anyone! With her, you don’t feel like just a number. Very personable, thorough and professional. I had broken my front tooth and she came in on her closed day to help me.

I had been going to dentists my entire live (I’m 64) and I HATED GOING TO THE DENTIST. Then I met Dr Chao and things changed. She LISTENS, she’s patient and understanding. She has your best interest at heart and you know she’s in your corner and will be there for you in a pinch. My Dad broke a tooth, called his dentist and was told the Dr wasn’t in and they had no one to refer him to. I called Dr Chao and she said come in as quickly as you can. Now she has treated me, my Dad, my Mother, my wife, my daughter, my son, and my mother’s friends and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good, caring dentist. I don’t love going to the dentist, but now I don’t mind going to the dentist, could not be a more pleasant experience, thanks!

I love this dentist office! Dr. Chao is super nice! She likes to talk to all of her patients about their life and makes them feel special! I wouldn’t have any other doctor! The dentist office is very clean and welcoming! I love coming here!

Dr. Dorothy Chao is awesome! She is very thorough with each patient and explains everything well so nothing is unexpected. Her office accepts all major insurances and she doesn’t upsell like most other dentists.

I was referred to this dentist through a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly & professional attitude of all the staff. I needed an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and Dr. Chao and her assistant Eram did a fabulous job. I had insurance but since I was a new patient and needed the procedure done immediately I chose to pay cash and was given a considerable discount. I will be using Dr. Chao and Smile Family Dental for all of my future dental needs.
