The popusas looked and smelled delicious. Unfortunately, were not as good.

I couldn’t have asked for a more hot, rich, delicious bowl of menudo and al pastor tacos today. I finally went inside this hidden gem after passing it by several times. At first I thought this wasnt a good place to order take out inside because I couldn’t properly located the register at first. But regardless, the rest of the restaurant is very chill and family/social friendly. I actually almost fell asleep as I was waiting for my order(my fault since I didn’t order ahead of time), but the wait was well worth it. I’d wait over an hour for a menudo as good as this. It is so good I started writing this review after my first bite. In fact I can’t finish this review because I must finish my menudo. Menudo rocks. It’s the hispanic version of sul-lung-tang(korean) and to be totally honest I would prefer this menudo over any sul lung tang I can think of. It’s that good. The best menudo I have ever ate, and it happened to fall on a Wednesday XD

The restaurant recently changed owners, so the name of the restaurant is now different. However, the pupusas are still delicious. We ordered revueltas, and they were hot and filled generously with beans, cheese, and chicharron. The sauce could’ve been a little spicier, but everyone is different. I recommend!

Carne asada is delicious… Wet burritos, sopes, and tacos… There green salsa is really good but really spicy so ask for on the side … Restaurant itself is not great to dine in only reason for 4 star

The food is so delicious. The Asada tacos and sopes are really good. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star rating is because the restaurant itself could use some updating.

Tried this place out for the first time. LOVEDIT! We had their chesse and revueltas pupusas(tasty, cheesy and fluffy). We also had the platanos fritos con frijoles y crema… they were PERFECT! I will definitely keep coming here :)

With all honesty, I can be really picky when it comes to salvadorian food. With that said this place didn’t wow me. I asked for three pupusas con queso y chicharron and I got more cheese than meat. The curtido that tops off the pupusas wasn’t great(definitely needed more vinegar) and the red sauce lacked flavor. I was kind of disappointed. I wouldn’t come here again no matter how bad I’m craving pupusas. Aside from that, the owner was extremely nice.

Pupusas were ok, but I only ordered two, they brought four… misunderstanding, no clear communication. This pushed me from an intended cash to credit expenditure, which required an extra .50 charge, which is actually illegal to charge(any extra fees for using credit or debit) in CA. The salsa and chips were ok(free, yay) and the water was ‘good’ water from the water shop next door. Aside from the misunderstanding it was ok. The pupusas tasted fresh and were soft and with a good amount of filling. I’ve always been reluctant to try this place because it seems to change hands evert six months or so…

If you dont know its here chances are your going to drive right by. As stated it is tucked away in a tiny strip mall near the do it yourself quarter car wash. Its neighbors include a liquor store, a tiny bar that always has people standing outside and a Thai place. Greeted by loud authentic music and with chips and homemade salsa and an extensive menu from a kind employee with things like tacos, pupusas, banana empanadas, burritos, carna asada and pollo plates, and burgers for those with a picky appetite. Their Pupusas are freshly made to order and packed with cheese, meat and beans then served with a hot sauce. Main dishes are served with Fresh… yes fresh hand made flour tortillas. That alone deserves a star. This is a go to place for a quick and inexpensive meal with flair and flavor.

Tucked away between a liquor store and a laundromat is El ARCA… The food is fresh & delicious. Pupusas are a good size with a perfect balance between masa and filling. Service is on point helpful and friendly. Fairly priced. I will return to try the camarones ala diabla w/a Modelo :)

Food is good but not great… Still looking for that mystical great spot that has eluded us all this time. Definitely worth trying.
