ShopRite of Byram Wines Liquors & Spirits

Wow, I could not believe the guy who was asked to help me refused to. I was looking for a Champagne and he couldn’t be bothered. I left to go to the Liquor Factory.
I hope the manager reads this. The guy with the beard could not have been any ruder. Too bad. I bought 4 bottles and not from Shoprite!

I was pleasantly *astonished* when I went to this location. When I think ShopRite liquors, I do not think selection, so I was blown away by the variety and selection of craft beers and interesting wines. There was virtually no staff there to assist me, but using the Internet as my guide, I picked out a fabulous wine and was able to find some craft beers that I really enjoyed. The price was very good. I stopped back several more times to find some beers I can’t find anywhere else.

I’m here once a week to make my own six-​pack (with many options under $ 2.00 a bottle/​can). When I first made my way to the beer aisle, I simply stood, god-​smacked. For fifteen minutes I stared at the selection. The inner monologue in my brain went something like this, «no words… no words… just feelings.»
Bliss. So close to my home, and such an excellent selection.
Two staff members, both named Mark, are quite helpful. We have a «have you tired this, have you tried that?» conversation every time I’m there. Dan’s no slouch either!
Their spirit and wine selection seems to be varied too, though my mecca is the beer section.
They’re also willing to set things aside for you (like the two bottles of Espresso IRS by Stone Im grabbing today), and they’ve even done semi-​planned tastings. I recently walked in on a Brooklyn tasting, and sampled some of their best

The other reviewer is right on the money. The craft beer selection here is phenomenal. I have to force myself not to stop there every day after work. If you are even mildly into beer you must stop in here.

Oh my goodness. I thought I had found great craft beer selections before I visited this location… I was wrong. If you’re a fan of craft beer and you live in North Jersey, you are REQUIRED to visit this store, even just for their ‘Build-​Your-​Own-​Six-​Pack’ selection alone.
