Stamford Gables Bed & Breakfast

We came up to Stamford to visit my Dad for Christmas. The Stamford Gables, hosted by Jean and Jim, provided an immaculate surrounding in which to celebrate our Christmas Holiday. Jean’s breakfasts were just incredible! Each morning the table was filled with the most delectable treats we could ever had imagined. Jim’s detailed woodwork and Jean’s decorating skills showed such attention to detail throughout the house! Our rooms gave us an environment we wished we owned, and they made us feel like we were home. We give them our highest recommendation, not easily achieved, but they certainly show they care about what they do, and they have a passion for doing it.

Just got home from a two night stay here. Delightful place! Rooms are spotless and spacious. Breakfast is so satisfying! Internet connection excellent! Location was perfect for us. Host was charming and accommodating. Would recommend this to a friend!

Stayed two nights in Feb due to business in the area. There were 3 of us, so we filled up the 3 rooms that available in this wonderfully renovated gabled Victorian. Jean welcomed us and showed my to a pretty room that had a kin size bed, a sitting area in a bay window alcove, and an incredibly large, well appointed bathroom. The beds were sleep number and comfy. The bathroom had plenty of towels and hot water (the shower is big enough for two and also has a bench). The breakfast menu has items like fresh muffins, bacon eggs, pancakes, etc. Jean has you choose off the menu the night before and then that’s what she cooks for you in the morning. Such a wonderful way to start the day! The kitchen is open and available, we had meetings at the table before/​after we had to go to the office. The Keurig is always on and ready for a cup of coffee or tea, and fresh baked cookies were on the kitchen table in the afternoon. I lived in Stamford several years ago and there was nothing like this around then. This was a wonderful surprise!
