Excellent. Professional. Clean. Talented.
Agnes is amazing. A genius with color and with cutting. I cannot speak anymore highly of her and her team. They are so professional and I must value their honesty too.
Needless to say I recently made a GRAVE error a few weeks ago going to a local salon (if you want tio call it that) because I couldn’t get a cut with agnes. Lesson learned: SHE’S WORTH THE WAIT. I now have a flop sided cut care of this other place and thankfully Agnes is able to save me from this horror on my head. I’ll have to pay the before and afters from the last two years and soon to be hair rescue.
I’ll never go to anyone else again. You won’t be disappointed.

It was my first time here, but I will definitely come back again. The girl Tasha did my hair, she did exactly what I want!!! The prices are reasonable too!!! Recommend to everybody!!!

Had my wedding hair and makeup done here, was ok but left a camera which when called about nobody had seen (very expensive camera). Makeup artist was great and Andrew the receptionist is very nice. I went back at a later time hoping to get a nice cut but I was completely butchered! I looked like a boy with a bowl cut when I was looking for a cute bob. I showed the stylist a picture of what I was looking for and didn’t come close. I became very fond of hats and it took almost a year to grow out, it was terrible! For that reason I will never go back there, it was heart breaking… nobody said anything good about it and my next stylist agreed that it needed to be fixed badly.

Being so new to Stamford and not knowing anyone here to suggest everyday places (where to find to best food, coffee, bars, salons, etc) I’ve have to rely totally on Unilocal to help me figure out where to go ! Luckily I came across Salon Du Soleil where I was veryvery happy with. When I called to make my appointment I found the receptionist to be caring, considerate and soo helpful (something you don’t often enough experience with businesses in this city) He kindly catered to what day and time I was looking for and made me feel excited to go.
My appointment was 8am on a Saturday and after a few run ins from my night before I ran 10 minutes late to find that they still made me feel very welcomed and happy to see me. I wanted to show Emily (my stylist) the hair cut I wanted on my phone but it wasn’t coming up so she thoughtfully let me use the computer upfront to show her. and she did exactly as I requested. She was friendly, quick, and I will be back !

I love this salon, it’s like a little hidden gem in Stamford, very warm and inviting, always a nice busy hum going on, they always have breakfast, or chocolates or some other yummy for their guests, and the front desk manager is AMAZING — he makes sure you have everything you need, goes out of his way and is just a cool person. (Has an awesome tat too, ask him to see it, great story behind it!) I see Kim, and she is wonderful, and super consistent.
She is on time, and my hair is always great, I have never left disappointed and have been going there for several months. Kim has a fun personality and a good eye, I trust her, she is awesome about not getting scissor happy when you ask for trim. (She knows what «trim» means and does not try to coax more out of it, she simply trims!) Ladies with long locks — run, do not walk, your hair is safe in the hands of Kim!

I went there 2x this year; the first time was fine, nice haircut and the hair color seemed to be finel. I went there six or seven weeks later and my hair was cut crooked and dyed jet black and left the salon with black streaks around the frame of my face. It was around Halloween, so I looked like I was getting dressed for Halloween. Also, I could tell that this was not a well-​run salon; the co-​owner was sweet, but in a well-​run salon, there is never any downtime. If a hairdresser/​assistant is not working, they are sweeping hair, changing towels, getting the station ready for the next client. There was none of that there, just a lot of sitting around texting. Unfortunately, not a great place.

Parking is on the street bring change. This was my first time here and they set me up with a girl who is filling in for someone. She mentioned that she will be getting more hours soon, but for right now she is only working on Saturdays. I asked about her experience, and she was pretty much a job hopper. I was really concerned at this point.
I gave her two pictures of me so that she understood what kind of highlights I was looking for. My hair did not come out the way I wanted it to look. It had very dark roots which was not the look I wanted. She went and got the manager/​owner, who told me to come to her station. The manager had to re-​highlight my hair which took quite some time. She knew and understood exactly what I wanted. The end result was great! I was very satisfied. She charged me less due to the wait and mistakes. I appreciated it.
I am giving this salon 3 stars because of the following:
–Setting up a new customer with an inexperienced stylist who is p/​t
–I was late for two appointments. I was at the salon for over 3 hours!
They offer you tea or coffee and breakfast in the mornings. Overall, I really liked the owner, and find her to be talented. I will go back there, and will recommend others to her. I will update this review if things continue to be smoother in the future!
