My favorite pizza ‘to go’ place in Stamford! New management /owners keep the place super clean and neat(if you remember what it was like under the old owners you know what I’m talking about). Super pizza and pasta at reasonable prices, and who doesn’t love a place where you’re greeted by a genuine smile when you walk in! Note: this restaurant is mainly take out and delivery.

The new owners(thank goodness!) are trying hard. But every time I go there, the pizza tastes different. And I have deliberately ordered the same pies over the past few weeks. Disaster at first(meatball instead of sausage, and it tasted, well, bad). Great, in the middle. This week, they somehow lack in flavor. Don’t know what’s going on here. They are not generous with cheese. And do not have fresh basil on their margherita, nor fresh sliced tomatoes. This week, if it wasn’t for the crust, I swear their pizzas tasted like frozen. And I loved Ridgeway Pizza, for a great thin-crust pie! I’ve been scared to try their sandwiches.

Stopped her for a couple slices and was very pleased with the quality and the nice people behind the counter. I’ll be back soon!

Since the change in ownership a month ago, I immediately noticed major changes as soon as I entered; new light fixtures, fully stocked vending machine and pizza display, and most importantly cleanliness. For lunch I ordered pasta fagiole soup, a chicken parm grinder soup and two slices of pizza(one plain and the other with bacon); my total of around $ 15 was such a deal. 5 stars for two important reasons: 1) Great-tasting and affordable food. Definitely going to use my coupon for two large cheese pies for $ 18.95. 2) It’s owned by a new, warm, welcoming family who works hard and genuinely cares about customers.

Ordered fried calamari and small pizza. Very disappointed, the calamari was horrible it tasted old and was hard and the seasoning was awful. The pizza is normally good but tonight mine wasn’t done. I had to put in the oven when I got home. Hope I don’t get sick from the calamari.

I wish I could give no stars! So disappointed! As a native of Manhattan this has been my absolute pizza I’ve had since moving to CT. That being said I do have to say that this past time I ordered THEREWAS A F@&$INGCOCKROACHINMYPIZZA!!! EWWWWW And it looked dropped then run over with a car. Not to mentioned it was cold as ice! So disappointed. Sorry but that’s bad enough for me to never order from here again!!!

*HEHASANITCH* I was hungry and I was walking looking for a place to eat and saw this hole in the wall pizzeria. I walked in they didnt have much in their display so they made me a personal size pizza. They told me it will take 8 minutes to make and I said fine. So I went out and sat in the table outside and I was playing my phone and I looked inside and three of them were talking and I saw the short bald guy went to town scratching his crotch for a good minute at least. It was just that long. Geesh and he works there and certainly did not wash his hands after. He just went back to whatever he was doing. When I walked in he was preparing pizza put in the box for delivery. This is your pizza! Disgusting! !!! I hope the guy that was making my pizza didnt do this. Ugh… I wish I was not too hungry I would have walked away. I just arrived in Stamford and I was tired and hungry. The pizza was not bad actually but I cant get over that image of that guy who just went to town scratching his crotch. Yuck!!!

Ridgeway pizza is awesome! Great pizza, great owners and always consistent. We have used them for parties also, with great reviews from our family and friends. Wish they had a bigger place with more sit down area.

I’d give it 2.5 stars if I could. The owner sent a pie to my job for free one day, boasting that they had just won Best Pizza in Stamford.(I didn’t see that on the Stamford Tour website) I am a die hard Hope & Springdale pizza fan and am not usually impressed with other places. I was not impressed with Ridgeway. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great.

Ordered delivery from Ridgeway last night. I was surprised how prompt the delivery was. We ordered cheesy garlic bread and a cheese pie with sausage. I was surprised how good it was! I say this because I am a big fan of New Haven pizza(I.e., Pepe’s, Modern, Sally’s and Bar). I die for thin crispy crust, non-rubbery cheese, and a palette satisfying sauce. Ridgeway hit my criteria and although it’s not New Haven pizza, it warrants my seal of approval. I also like their pricepoints, which are very reasonable. :)

As anyone can probably tell from the reviews, this is mostly love-it-or-hate-it pizza. I happen to freakin’ LOVE it. I don’t have to drive to New Haven or wait at Colony for delicious pizza thanks to this place. The crust is thin and crispy, so those who don’t like that probably aren’t going to love Ridgeway’s pizza and would be better off going to a place like Nonna’s(not a fan myself, but my friends who are into the thicker, doughier kind of crust love their pizza). We refer to Ridgeway as «sweetza» because their sauce is ridiculously good and has that additively sweet quality that may result in dinnertimetravel. You know, when you say you’re going to have one slice and then suddenly you look down and the entire pie is gone and you feel disgustingly and gloriously full all at once. Not great pizza for people who are dieting or have very little self-restraint regarding Italian food. Speaking of dieting sort of, the salads are also pretty good; they’re massive compared to those from other places in the area, the dressing is just right and they aren’t soggy and sad when they arrive. Like the pizza, their salads and most of their sides hold up pretty well the next day. Delivery is always pretty fast. It’s priced well for the amount of food you get, and they always have coupons floating around for a few bucks off your order or for freebies like garlic bread, wings, etc. Seriously, never order without at least trying their website for a coupon. If you happen to go to the actual restaurant(well, it’s not really a restaurant, it’s just a small pizzeria, so don’t necessarily do date night here) they have a great lunch deal that has become a Stamford classic, achieving a Garden Catering High School Special level of fame. I think it’s six bucks and change for two slices and a soda. Yeah! Personally I’ve never had a problem with their customer service, and even if I did at some point in the future I probably wouldn’t shave off a star because they’ve been so awesome for so many years. They’ve always been very friendly to me on the phone and in person. We did have a mix-up with pizzas once and they were very courteous and apologetic about it, and we got to keep the wrong pizza so you certainly won’t hear me complaining.

I’m obsessed with this place. We order from here once or twice a week. The pizza is good, nice and crispy on the edges. We also always get a large Gorgonzola salad to share. The dressing is good and they’re not stingy with the cheese. The salad comes with rolls they make from the pizza dough which is really tasty. The delivery is always prompt, and the delivery guys are always friendly. They even talk to my dog(who happens to be a pit bull so most delivery people freak out!) They have coupons on their pizza boxes as well.

This place is good for a quick bite, no frills, just feed me because I’m really hungry and must have food right now. The pizza is a little better than average, nothing spectacular, nothing negative. The service is friendly. A nice local business.

Good pizza for it’s price. You can order by the slice or by pie(three sizes: Small, Medium, Large). The popular gourmet pies are the Hawaiian and Clams Casino. Both are good; nothing spectacular, unless you love thick layers of cheese. Tip: There are coupons on their website.

They have a very good pie, for a good price, and they deliver fast. Plus when the pizza arrives it’s still warm and good to eat(it holds up well to deliver). I checked these guys out because the gave them a superlative award for«Best Delivery» — and I was in the mood for pizza but didn’t wanna go out. I’ve ordered from them two times now and I definitely have to say I like it. I wrote a similar review on Urban Spoon — just in case anyone notices, I wanted to mention it myself. Here are my thoughts on their pie: Crust: Thin and crispy, but not dry. Arrives slightly less crispy than I expect it would be in the joint. Sauce: Fairly sweet tomato sauce. Quite good with a salty topping like sausage. Cheese: Stringy, good flavor, but not gourmet or anything. Toppings: Admittedly I’ve only tried the sausage, which incidentally comes as crumbles instead of little slices. I used to really like the slices of sausage from other places, but Ridgeway is actually beginning to sway me towards crumbles, because it spreads out the flavor, and prevents the little grease buckets from forming in the cup shaped sausage slices. Price: Great delivery price. Overall: Not too shabby!!! It’s quickly becoming my favorite fast/cheap delivery pie in Stamford, when I don’t want to drive to Amore or Sorrento’s, or sit down at Remo’s.
