I disagree with the critics of Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home. I found them to be very empathetic concerning our loss of my mother. I thought Brendan McKeon, the funeral director, was very friendly and helpful at this difficult time in our lives. Our family has always used this Funeral Home and I have never found any fault with them. I would highly recommend Leo P. Gallagher to anyone.

I am thoroughly disgusted with Joe Singer from this funeral home. He is clearly in the wrong business. He is rude, obnoxious, unsympathetic and an all around nasty person. As we are trying to bury our father he is hurling spiteful words at us. I have also heard feedback from friends after the funeral about how awful and unpleasant he is to deal with. We finally were able to work with another person there Melissa, who seemed better and the actual people from the funeral home who were at my father’s funeral were very lovely and helpful.

They are horrible people. We had the funerals of my grandmother and my father(recently) at this funeral home. We never felt so insulted and mistreated in our lives, especially for a service that we’d just paid almost $ 10,000 for. As a starter, at the initial meeting(right after my father died) with the owner: the owner was rude and aggressive and threatening to my brother and I, and then overcharged my mother(«oops!») by $ 600 when he took her credit card. First beef with them: they rushed out from the funeral. No meeting to discuss how long things would take, and terrible customer service. Second: My father’s death certificate had an error on it that I found only after the originals came from the city clerk(of course, Gallagher did not notice the error). When I pointed it out, they said«oh we will take care of it ASAP» and — in spite of the fact that we’d paid for a «express service car» to pick up the documents and hand-deliver them same day — they then proceeded to do nothing for almost a week, and then MAIL the documents by regular mail to the neighboring town’s clerk. Although I needed it ASAP and offered to pick it up myself, they refused to do any follow up and made us feel like s**t for calling to find out what I could do to help speed up the process. In the end, it took almost 3 weeks to get the corrected paperwork. Do not go them if you can spend your money elsewhere!
