I have been going to John’s for 12+ years. They are my go-to restaurant for good food. I typically get a pizza or gyro platter which are both amazing and always hit the spot. The place is pretty small, so I would recommend picking up the food.

I haven’t had a bad meal yet! Their pizza is delicious(but greasy) and their Greek platters are tasty and filling. I don’t know what they put in their tzatsiki sauce, but it’s good on everything(even the pizza haha)! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good pizza(unless you’re watching your weight). They don’t deliver, but for me it’s easy because I live right across the street. An easy dinner that can’t be beat = 2 plain slices and a can of soda for $ 5.

This pizza spot has been there for more then 8 years, I love their pizza, but tonight it really turn me off, so I order wings and pizza, and I saw the cashier guy took wings from a box and use his hand without groves to transfer them in two box, one for me and one for other customer. That really turn me off, sorry they might have good pizza but I’m not sure will I go back anymore

John’s pizza is my go to pizza spot in Stamford. Admittedly it is the closest pizza place to my home but it is still a solid pizza. It’s always been very consistent Greek style pizza. I’m usually a fan of thin crust but the medium crust they have here is quite good. Sauce and cheese are all of decent quality. The décor is your typical takeout pizza place look. Not a ton of seating.

This place is down the street from my sister’s apartment, so I eat here often. The pizza is so good! But I always order a Philly cheesesteak when I’m here. One of the best Phillies I’ve ever had. The staff is friendly, always joking around. I never have an issue with my order when I order from them!

Am I the only one that thinks this tastes exactly like Chuck E. Cheese pizza? Gross! Had to throw it out, it was soooo bad. #pizzastandards

Been there for their 2 cheese slices and a can of soda for $ 5 — so good! Flavorful, fresh, yummy.

YUM. I like John’s pizza a lot. It’s hard for me to find«good pizza» these days since I compare everything to a good ‘ol slice of NY pizza, but John’s is pretty damn good and extremely close to the NY style I like.

I used to go to John’s pizza when I was a little girl. I’ve since moved out of CT and have been traveling the world while serving in the Air Force and I have not found a place quite like John’s. My husband is from Los Angeles and I tell him every week that we need to go to CT and have some John’s pizza. I haven’t been home in years but I will definitely be in CT this summer for the first time since 2004 and John’s is one of the first places we plan on visiting.

Great pizza but I’d go elsewhere for other items. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just that’s it not great. The pizza is excellent so it makes the rest of the menu seem average.

Over the past 5 years myself and my co-workers have eaten well over 100 pies from John’s. As other reviews state it is a classic«Greek» pizza. The crust is medium thin and crispy covered with plenty of cheese and they never skimp on the toppings. I have read other reviews where they said the pie is undercooked and I have never had an undercooked pie from them. Its always perfect and crispy the way a pizza should be. Our only complaint is no delivery but that is a minor issue given its fairly close to our office. They have a frequent buyers program and this year alone we earned 4 free large pizzas; 3 free small pizza and 1 free grinder. I have also eaten the wings, chili cheese dogs, Gyros and other platters and all were good. But it is those giant heavenly wheels of dough, cheese and pork that keep us coming back every week.

I have been going to John’s for about forty three years. Just thinking about their pizza makes me want one! If you’re looking for a great Greek style pizza in the medium depth pan with slightly crunchy crust with the right amount of sauce, delicious cheese and the same fantastic flavor every single time, then this is your spot. Don’t expect a fancy place, but it’s clean as a whistle. Their wedges are great and don’t forget the tossed salad with cheese. John’s is our choice when we are not in the mood to drive to New Haven, but want a great pizza.

I think I’ve probably had 40 pizzas from John’s in the last couple of years, so feel qualified to post an informed review. In fairness, I’ve never ordered anything BUT pizza here, although a lot of people get the gyro platters I have noticed. Pizza — Very good crust, very generous with the toppings. Cheese is excellent too. My ONLY complaint is that they often undercook them, especially if you’ve already paid and are waiting. I’ve said numerous times«don’t hurry it, I want it cooked fully» and almost every time they take it out too soon. My remedy for this is to show up no sooner than 15 minutes after I’ve ordered and usually this is a good strategy. Atmosphere — none, I’ve never eaten there in fact, I always carry out. There are some tables if you wanted to eat in though. Staff — pretty stiff most of the time, no-nonsense guys, make your food and you pay them, that’s it.(and that’s fair) Location — not the easiest intersection, especially around rush hour(like Stamford really has one, LOL) and sometimes parking in their little lot can be difficult. Punch card /loyalty program — This is cool because after buying 10 pizzas you get the 11th one free. If you go about every other week like I do, it is a nice benefit. Overall — highly recommend it and aside from one or two other places, it is one of the best pizzas in the area.

I have had many of John’s pies and they are pretty darn good. If you live close by, there is no reason not to give em a try.

This is my FAVORITE greasy pizza place. Cash only, and no delivery, but it’s classic Greek pizza(you know the kind, tons of cheese, medium crust and light on the sauce). Couldn’t be further from gourmet, but this place is the best hangover cure I know. Plus they’re nice — my friend and I ordered a large extra cheese and light onion at 10:30 am on a Sunday; they weren’t even open yet but they fired up the ovens and produced(added points for not judging us on our oh so nutritious breakfast). They also have wedges and salads, and keep in mind its small and not very pretty inside. I always do takeout.
