King & Prince Beach & Golf Resort

This place is so nice and full of character! Very clean and the staff is amazing. The food for the conference was outstanding! The best food I have ever had at a conference.

I don’t get the bad reviews at all. I spent two nights here for a conference and wished I could have have stayed longer. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was helpful and attentive. And the food at Echo was superb. I will definitely bring my wife for a weekend in the near future to this jewel in the Golden Isles.

Beautiful place on the water front. We felt so pampered having breakfast in our room that overlooked a courtyard with orange trees. I enjoyed talking walks on the beach at our leisure & enjoying happy hour at the bar near the pool. We could take our drinks outside & relax around the fire pit. The staff was friendly & the room was cleaned up so well each day. We loved staying at King & Prince and look forward to being back.

Rude staff. Not accommodating. Asked the front desk for some water and was told they don’t have any. There were 3 cases right next to the lady. I told her to look at the cases and tell me they don’t have any water, and she told us to go to the vending machine to get water.

Saint Simons Island and King & Prince are 2 of the best kept secrets — at least for someone from West Texas. I don’t know that I’d want to be here during the summer, but October was perfect weather and not overly crowded. It’s close enough for a day trip to Savannah and then you can retreat to the quiet, easy going atmosphere of SSI. The hotel is a perfect location — the beach is great and there are 4 cafes/​restaurants very close. The pier area is a longer walk and has several good restaurants.
Our patio, overlooking the beach, was the best part of our stay — we spent many mornings with coffee and many evenings with wine. Our housekeepers were sweet and helpful, the rooms lovely, the hotel staff friendly and the view from Echo is very nice. I wasn’t impressed with the Echo menu but I had a Winter Fruit and Arugula salad that was a knockout!
I would come back next year in a heart beat!

I stayed here with my Aunt a couple of weekends ago. My Aunt said a couple of times during the drive that she didn’t think the beach was too great but I was thrilled and decided she must be spoiled by her more exotic travels.
My Aunt paid and I have no idea what she paid so I thought it was a bargain.
Our room was nice enough but I wondered if every single person before me slept on the same side of the bed that I did because it was definitely lower than the other and I felt like I was sleeping on a steep hill.
I looked all over for a hair dryer and couldn’t find it so we called the desk. They told us to look in the closet where we found it hidden in a bag.
Shower pressure was very weak and the water smelled (and tasted) like well water.
Was also disappointed that there was no refrigerator so when I brought home fabulous leftover seafood and a salad from a great restaurant I tried to make a little refrigerator using the ice bucket. It didn’t work and I had to throw my midnight snack away. Two days later I found the fridge while opening a drawer underneath the TV.
I’d go back in a second, but I’d definitely want an oceanfront room. (And better directions to the «amenities»)

We have stayed here a couple times. It’s always clean and nice. The room we had this time was a little to far for a 6 yr old to walk back and forth to the pool/​beach. The maid didn’t come until 430pm when we where trying to get read for dinner… BUT WE ALWAYS ENJOY OUR STAY HERE! The Oglethorpe building is one of the newest so it’s clean and updated!
We had room service this morning and my order was wrong. Asked for scrabble eggs NO yolk… oh well :/

We had a Oceanview room in the newer building. Beautiful view and a large room. However, the bathroom is the size of a closet. Odd for a resort of this caliber. Pool area is nice, but no pool service during the week. Both the Echo restaurant and bar were understaffed during our stay. They also ran out of lemons and whip cream. I had the turkey burger both days during my stay. Excellent!

Takes a lot to dislike a place but people around here are not likable.
Food is just okay and beaches are dirty
