The crepes are generally good here. I’ve had both lunch and dessert crepes as well as a coffee drink. The dessert crepes are tasty, but beyond the crêpe itself, it seemed thrown together as though I could have taken the crêpe and made it at how by myself. The mocha drink I had tasted like a hot chocolate packet and a dash of coffee. If I’m coming to a European style eatery, I expect good coffee. The lunch crêpe was good as far as having fresh ingredients, but lacked flavor. Staff are friendly and service is fast, but I crave better food quality and attention to detail when it comes to crepes and coffee and unfortunately this location has yet to deliver.

Well, I really didn’t get a chance to try anything because I guess they really don’t have official hours. Reading the others reviews, this seems to be a common problem. I drove up at 11:30 and as I was driving up, a women, I’m guessing the owner looked at me without even smiling and shock her finger back and forth to indicate no. They were just setting up but I decided to call to make sure that they really weren’t open but no one answered the phone. I will try again at some point and hopefully give an updated review. SO if you want to check this place out I would call first to see if they are actually open.

These crepes are the best I have ever eaten! I love the outside casual dining area, it is so cute. I hope to go often!

I think with a few improvements, this food truck(with adjacent building) could garner more stars. They have an extensive menu for their size, and that could be easily pared down to let them concentrate on producing a smaller number of higher quality dishes. While they are worth a visit for those seeking a lower carb lunch option, the items we ordered were okay and not great. They offer fresh squeezed orange juice, which is a plus, in addition to the coffee and smoothies that we haven’t tried yet. The crepes themselves were tasty but could have used some(minor) improvements: the vegetarian La Creperie Special had a vague undertone of smoke that didn’t seem to belong, and the Turkey Brie, while very tasty, included the Brie rind. The French onion soup was on the rustic side but missed the mark on a couple of fronts(the onions weren’t browned and the cheese was overdone in places); however, it wasn’t the worst French onion soup I’ve tried, and it was certainly better than what Bern’s Steakhouse churned out the last time I visited. Overall? I would give this place another chance — the food isn’t bad and would only need a little reworking to take it up a notch. The staff is friendly, and they do have indoor seating — a similar setup to that offered by Taco Bus.

Love this place! The variety is great, the prices are more than reasonable, and the crepes are fantastic. These crepes taste just like I remember from when I lived in Europe 10 years ago. I highly recommend treating yourself to the most delicious crepes in Florida!

We went there on a Saturday around 6 – 7 pm and they said they had ran out of crepes batter for the day. You specialize in crepes and you«RANOUT of batter»…on a Saturday night??? I then asked them when we could come back and they just bluntly said to come back the next day, without any apologies. We love most of the restaurant businesses on Central Ave but this one was a huge letdown. Come back next time? NO thank you.

I didn’t try the desserts, just looking for a good coffee. The one I got was NOT good. I’ll let someone else try the crepes…

I wonder if they have an indoor seating area, why they still cook in the trailer. Café isn’t the word I’d use to describe it because it’s more like a food truck. Nevertheless, the crêpe was still delicious. Two of us shared the Marie Antoinette, after much deliberation over their never-ending menu of both savory and sweet crepes. Because of that, I think it would be hard to NOT find something you’d like.

At first I was a little thrown off by the location. I’m not very familiar with the area and the café is not in the best location. The trailer that they cook in is adorable! The eating area is clean and well decorated. And the CREPES! OHMYGOODNESS! They are delicious. They speak for themselves. Go eat them! I haven’t been to the other location, but I’ve heard good things about it. Best crepes ever!

Mmmmmmm!!! It was tasty! Tried the popular breakfast crêpe with eggs, cheese, tomato, and jalepeno sauce. Also tried the desert crêpe and really really liked it! This place isn’t as close to downtown as the other eateries but its worth the short ride down central avenue!

I looked on their website and it said they close at 10:00 p.m., so I drive over there around 9:30 and no one is there, they’re closed! It’s a Saturday night and they must have decided to close early! It is really disappointing when you go to a businesses’ website, and you drive 20 minutes to go to their establishment and they are closed even when they are supposed to be open. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

Being the Francophile that I am, I was happy to hear about crepes returning to the Burg! La Creperia Café in St. Pete features an airstream for a kitchen and has a small detached dining area, as well as a few tables with seating outside. They also have a small parking lot, and street parking is available. I visited on a Wednesday night around 6pm. There was only 1 person working in the whole place! Yes, this is a small establishment, but you need 1 person to take orders and 1 to cook at a minimum. There was a group of 4 or 5 in front of us, and we had a group of 3. We were told it would be awhile before we received our food, because«I am the only one working.» La Creperia has a huge menu, with a crêpe that will come with almost anything you’d like. I was surprised at some of the toppings available, like corn. Pretty much whatever you want to fit in a crêpe, they’ve got it. You can pick from one of the filling combos available on create your own. I was looking forward to the sweet crepes. 3 of us shared the banana, Nutella, and strawberry crêpe after our savory ones. It was plenty. The cook/order taker told us he filled it with as much as he could because we were sharing it. That was very nice of him. Fortunately no one was in front of us this time, so the order came up very quick. As another Unilocaler said, the best way to experience this place is with others. That way you can share to try different items as the crepes are quite filling. I will be back at La Creperia for future crêpe cravings.

(Note: I may upgrade later. For this review, on the advice of a previous review, I focused on the coffee.) When the roadside sign for your business reads«…espresso bar» it’s only fair to evaluate the quality of said espresso. However, it seems that coffee is more of a side interest to these very friendly folks. The espresso itself was bold, however their water temp may be too high, or the packing of the grounds by the barista may have been too firm(or the coffee may simply have been old or bad). The sugars in the coffee, naturally released in the pressing process, were over carmelized, giving the drink a pronounced burnt flavor. The forward and finish of the espresso was bitter(even with sugar). And the presentation was disastrous. The macchiato was served in a small, generic styrofoam cup. The milk was sloppily laid on top, thus making any evidence of crema from the espresso invisible. And their sweetener choices resembled that of a muffler shop, not a café that advertizes that it specializes in espresso. I had to stir my generic sugar in with a butter knife, as no spoon was provided. Making a good cup of espresso is a skill. And not an easily gained one. And if this was a tourist trap on St Pete beach, I probabaly wouldn’t have written this review. Bit I hope the owners read it and use it as a tool for tweaking their espresso approach, from the beans to the training for the barista who prepares them. The guys were super nice and I want this place to do well. Frankly, if it weren’t for the very friendly service, I would not give this business a second chance for its coffee. But…I’ll be back to give them the second chance they deserve.

Been there a few times now and I have to say I love it, the cooks are all real friendly and one of them who works the weekends speaks at least some French. The food is amazing, I have had the 62, 43, and 17. All of them suggested to me by one of the cooks. I will be going back here again and again. One of the day cooks even does some magic! I think the only down side is the Styrofoam cups they use, wish they had something else, maybe a sturdy paper one

I think the best way to do the creperia is with a second person. Normal people won’t be able to have a savory and a sweet crêpe in one sitting… they’re just too big and they won’t hold well for later. Get one of each and split both of them for the best of both parts of the menu in one go. Yesterday I did just that. I got a #50 which is a sausage with peppers and caramelized onions in a meaty tomato sauce and an apple and cinnamon sweet crêpe. Also a couple of lattes. $ 25 total. Coffee was surprisingly good. I didn’t expect it from a food truck. Not crazy about drinking out of a styrofoam cup though. The Crepes… They were big. And yummy. The sausage one had a lot of flavor and a was definitely a solid meal on its own. The apple was fairly traditional and vaguely reminded me of pie. Mmmm pie. The only downside is that half their sweet menu has nutella in it and that isn’t my thing. It’s not quite what I grew up with in France but it’s good enough when I’m missing home.

I was delighted to discover this place when I revisited my home town for the Thanksgiving holiday. I was sucked in by the fun visual of an Airstream parked alongside umbrella topped tables in an over size parking lot. The menu was a real treat, and extensive given that it was limited to sweet or savory crepes, breakfast sandwiches and beverages. Coffee was delicious. I settled on a sweet crêpe made with nutella, pecan and whipped crème topping named Death Wish. French music played adding further ambiance into the warm air I was so pleased I came back two days later with my friend(of French descent) to sample the wares. We opted for savory crepes that were each as delicious as the sweet ones! I would gladly have given this spot a 5 star rating were it not for the use of styrofoam cups and plastic utensils. The food is definitely 5-star! When I return to visit friends and family in St. Pete, I will put a visit to La Creperia Café at the top of my list…I am hooked. I do hope they will add signs to direct the traffic in advance of the cross street as both times I went, I drove beyond where I should have entered both times. And please replace the styrofoam cups. Thanks for deliciousness french style! Geri Wright

4.5 stars —– Update. Came back again and everything was spectacular. You have to try their coffees. The iced coffees are like milkshakes but not as filling. Delicious flavors! Everything is made fresh and is worth the wait. All of the staff is super nice and friendly. They let us try the chestnut crème since we didn’t know what it was. The ricotta and chestnut crème crêpe is a very unique flavor that you MUST try! —– This place just opened under 2 weeks ago and is owned by the same people who own the one in Ybor. Except this one is a Crêpe Bus. very much like the Taco bus. You can sit inside in the AC or outside. I can only describe our experience here as… «magical» but more on that later! First off the owner was running the show that day and he’s got quite the personality! His thick Greek accent and humor are very charming, as are the European music in the background and the white button-up coat and fluffy tall hat the workers wear. The menu is HUGE. Sweet. savory. breakfast… the portions are huge and filling. Half a crêpe would have done it for me. Tip. if you go with someone else, order 1 sweet and 1 savory and split them. We had a chicken and cheese one and the chicken was extremely plentiful and fresh. Also had the sweet Romeo and Juliet which made my taste buds throw a «business warming» party for La Creperia. They have the old style bottled sodas with real sugar and not the high fructose crap, along with a lovely assortment of coffees which I can’t wait to go back and try. Finally, we relaxed in the AC room playing some cards, when one of the fashionably dressed chefs came in to take our trays and provide a personal magic show. Before our eyes he pulled a packet of sugar out of nowhere, then made it disappear, only to pull it out of his mouth. I’m not sure what his name was, but if you are interested, ask for him. La Creperia, if you read this, maybe he can provide scheduled entertainment for the diners. In conclusion I am so glad La Creperia opened a second location in St Pete, although it felt like we took a short vacation to a lovely old European town.
