Business Owner

Mr. and Mrs. FMV both started their careers in creative fields before diving into the world of vintage furniture. She was a web-​designer, he worked in video production. A move to Florida and purchase of a 1950s ranch spurred a passion for mid century modern furniture. Soon the couple found themselves collecting and reselling their finds out of their garage. Fast forward five years and Furnish Me Vintage has grown to become one of the nation’s top retailers of fine vintage furniture. I can’t say enough about this place!
My girlfriend and I purchased a beautiful teak dining room table a few weeks ago. We had the table in our home for only a mere week before we noticed the finish on the table was not holding up against everyday use. I followed up with Todd at the store and inquired as to why the table was not holding up. His response was better than what I expected. He assumed all responsibility for the lack of finish on the table and explained that they would refinish the table for no charge and even deliver it for free!
Very few businesses provide such a service or accountability for their products. If you don’t mind paying a few extra bucks for a quality piece of furniture, then this is the place for you!
FYI: They will even repair any future scratches without any issue!

Cool vintage furniture shop. All I could think about while walking through it was the Brady Bunch.
If I could have my own personal home decorator, it would be awesome. They always have an eye for bringing old to new. I know the people from HGTV have recently been to this store, and it makes sense why. There’s a great selection of one of a kind antique furniture. Sad to me that the stuff I grew up with is now considered vintage. But it is pretty cool to see it again.
They also have records like the Cabbage Patch Kids and Favorite Disney Dogs and We are the World. Do you remember your first record as a kid? Mine was Debbie Gibson.

Really nice retro items, not my style though. The store is huge. Three stories of furnishings exist for your viewing pleasure!

Wow. Some truly beautiful furniture and accessories can be found here. The prices were in line with the lovely quality and uniqueness of each piece. Apparently they are renovating so the upper floors were not showroom ready but the first floor had lots of dining room tables with chairs that could be mixed and matched as you pleased. There were also multiple living room sets in great condition.
I did notice that when my friend inquired as to a possible sale she had seen advertised online, the front desk person all but rolled his eyes and claimed he knew not of such things as he couldn’t be bothered. Reminded me of my teen who frequently rolls her eyes at me and says in a bored voice «whatever»…

Great store and great management. Todd went above and beyond to contact me regarding a few pieces I liked in the store and even offered me a very generous discount. Please support this great local business as St. Pete needs more businesses like this one! Thanks Todd!
Also, I would ignore the negative reviewer trying to negate any future reviews. The place is not inexpensive, but the quality and uniqueness of the items warrant the pricing. I was not solicited to write this review and I do not personally know anyone who works at the store. Stop by and judge for yourself!

If you walk in here, don’t expect anyone to talk to you. They are too busy on the phone, on the computer or reading hipster magazines. They could care less if you are in the store. And it makes sense, since they apparently sell a lot online (judging from all the signs in the store). Prices are grotesque.
UPDATE: They are now on some sort of Internet campaign to solicit good reviews from any and everyone. Treat any new good reviews with utmost caution.

NOT PET/​DOG FRIENDLY…
Threw me out because I had my very friendly dog with me, on a leash of course. I asked if I could look holding him, NO, I was told.
The other business in the building, first and second floor, were so friendly, even had a treat for my baby!!! Their loss. St Petersburg is a «PET FRIENDLY» CITY… Get with the program Furnish Me Vintage…
