This is just MY experience, I know a lot of people like these guys, and I’m not saying anything about other people’s experiences, just mine.
I’ve been trying to pin point an issue for quite some time. I literally made a list of everything I had done, my issues, and what the problem could possibly be. I came to have a problem FIXED.
They had my car two days, which was a great inconvenience and did not perform any of the tests I had suggested. They NEVER called me to ask about doing a test, or replacing a part or anything. I waited all day the second day to hear something. Finally I had to call them 30 mins prior to them closing to find out what was going on.
They didn’t do the tests, they didn’t rule out anything, they didn’t suggest a next move. The problem occurs in a very short window, which was not only explained to them, but WRITTEN DOWN for them.
They were going to charge me, but finally did not, which was their idea. I do NOT have a problem with paying someone, and as I told them, I would have paid a LOT to have this issue solved, but they did not dig deeper. You can’t expect the issue to jump out and grab you by the hand.
I won’t speculate as to why they didn’t look deeper, they only said, «We don’t want to be a shop that does a bunch of tests to jack up your bill.» Well, those tests may have discovered the issue, and that isn’t saying a lot of your mechanics to troubleshoot and find the problem.
I’m sure they are great people, and have a great business with many repeat customers. They have a lot of positive reviews and I do wish them the best of luck.
But when someone specifically asks for something to be done, and has it written down and WANTS the problem solved… you should help them to the best of your ability. And maybe that was all they had??? They were not invested in the issue at all.
Now I’m back to square one and will be looking at other options.

Great mechanic, friendly people and very reasonable prices for the work done! Last week we replaced the right rear wheel bearing on my husband’s BMW. The dealership quoted me $ 1200 to repair, hi tech did it for little over $ 500. They did excellent work, car is running perfectly now. So good to have found a great mechanic, they are very versatile as evidenced by the variety of cars in the shop parking lot, I was very impressed with the quality of work and will be bringing our cars back in the future.

Good Luck ! Had the oil changed and it turned into a big oil leak. To make matters worse I had to cover the cost of the fix. While not expensive it’s pretty bad when your expected to pay for their mistake. Save time and money, find another place for you’re maintenance or repair. I will !

Tim and his people are honest, friendly and help me keep my car in great condition. I have a 4 Runner that I love to drive and they’ve quickly taken care of the minor problems as well as service that it needs. They always do what they say and let me know of other service items that I haven’t thought about. I’m very happy that I found Hi-​Tech.
