Description

Specialties

The St. Charles ReStore sells new and slightly used building materials, appliances and furniture to the public at 50−90% off original retail prices. Accepting and selling donated items allows the St. Charles ReStore to raise funds to build simple, decent, affordable housing in St. Charles County.

History

Established in 2007.

Habitat St. Charles was established in 1997 to continue Habitat for Humanity’s mission in St. Charles County of building simple, decent, affordable housing. The ReStore was opened to create a stream of fundraising to assist with building homes. St. Charles ReStore accepts new and used building materials, appliances and furniture to not only raise funds but to also divert materials from our local landfills. For every donation a tax deduction receipt is given, every purchase is tax free, all items are sold at 50−90% off of the original retail value and each item is kept from clogging our landfills. What could be better than supporting your community and helping your environment all at the same time?
