The Hotel Zamora

Hotel Zamora is across the street from the gulf but has an amazing roof top bar and lounge to make up for being on the wrong side of the street.
The pool is on the intercostal and has a nice view of the water. There are also docks so you can bring your boat.
If you are going to the pool or the roof top bar they offer free valet (you can also get in the pool and hot tube) The drinks are reasonably priced so if you want a relaxing afternoon with a cold beverage on the water, this is your place.

When booking or «upgrading» make sure you are disclosed all details of the room from the receptionist. Upgraded to a nice view but lost a valuable work tool (desk) and the bathroom is way smaller than the average room. There was no Business center available. I was offered to sit at the lobby or take a table at the restaurant. The room was under the noisy roof top lounge. Upgrade not worth it. Additionally you will need to run the hot water 20 – 30 minutes. Not helpful at 6:30 in the morning. If you happen to leave something behind ie a charger, don’t expect housekeeping to return it.

We had a terrible time a hotel Zamora and would not stay there again nor would we recommend it. My family stayed at Zamora for my sisters wedding. When my sister arrived at 2am to check in, first they were told they didn’t have a reservation. Of course they were upset since they were getting married the next day, but figured it out and gave them a room. Unfortunately, when they went in the roomy he front desk assigned them, THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE SLEEPING THERE! They were mortified and so angry. Front desk did nothing. During our stay, the water in the shower quit working while my husband was showering. He had to get out and rinse his hair out in the sink. We told the front desk and they did not apologize or anything. In my parents’ room, the sink wouldn’t drain properly. Maintenance was notified and they came up and the maintenance literally told us, «the sinks that were initially installed were really poor quality and we are just waiting for them to break to replace them with better ones. So just leave the whole sink part out on the counter and just don’t use it.» Uhm, what? Upon departure we informed the front desk of all of these issues and they barely acknowledged them. I am so angry with this hotel. I am not surprised to see other people had many of these same issues.

The Zamora Hotel was wonderful. The hotel is approximately 9 months old so fresh and beautiful. The rooms are amazing as is the 360 rooftop bar. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. It’s 5 star all the way and a new favorite getaway. Loved it!

The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, and so was the front desk staff. We were originally in a waterview room that was beautiful and spacious, but it didn’t have a balcony, so we asked for a Corner King Suite facing the intercoastal waterway. Definitely ask for one of those rooms if possible. It was gorgeous. The rooftop bar is nice too, but it’s only open from 4p until late. I wish it was open at lunch or even breakfast. Breathtaking views of the beach and intercoastal. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the walls are paper thin. We heard our neighbor’s entire phone conversation. My husband also said the bed was too firm, but I liked it. Overall, it’s a great boutique hotel, and I would go back.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and the hotel as well as its staff were very welcoming. Our room was one of the ocean view rooms and was very spacious and comfortable.
Overall our weekend stay was great with the exception of the pool bar. My husband ordered a simple drink (old fashioned) and the bartender seemed to have no clue how to make it. In fact, he had to chug it because it was undrinkable/​unstoppable. Given this hotel has had many features in travel magazines I would have hoped the bar staff would be a little more knowledgable on how to make classic cocktails.

Great stay the pics that were on the Web site were not lieing so beautiful. Everyone was so friendly.

I have tried SOOO hard to like Hotel Zamora. It has everything going for it, great location, great view, nice looking facility. In fact, Hotel Zamora gets one star for their outstanding view. — otherwise it’d be 0! If you want anyone there to pay any attention to you whatsoever, do not stay here. I tried several months back to see if the manager would donate anything to a local charity fundraiser. After about 4 – 6 calls and a drop-​in, I never heard anything back. A simple response of «no» would have been appreciated. I tried to book a block of rooms for my wedding here. I went in to the hotel so I could speak with a manager about a block of rooms. The manager was «too busy» to see me at the time, so I left my contact information. I never received any communication back. I followed up 3 – 4 weeks later. I never heard anything back. Also, if you go there, be warned, they ONLY have valet parking. I was here once when some kind of event was going on and had to wait 30 – 40 minutes for my car. You can’t park on the street, as it is all permit parking only (believe me, I’ve tried). There are an infinite number of nicer hotels on the beach, try one of those!

It’s really too bad too. I tried to like them…

WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT! We are locals that wanted to try the rooftop bar and the Sangria and tapas special on Tues Sept 22. Although, it does not state this in the ad, there is no Sangria on the rooftop. So, we got a couple of draft beers for $ 12.84. We paid by credit card and left a $ 2 tip. Unfortunately, they put in a $ 12 tip. I first notified them on Sept 28^th of the issue. I have since spoken to Jeff, Debbie, and Angela and left a couple of messages and called numerous times. I have given my charge card information twice and I have yet to receive a credit Oct 11.

This review is for the rooftop bar, 360°. I’m only giving it one star and that’s just for the view. Unfortunately, unless you’re standing or get lucky enough to find one of the few seats near the glass railing, you can’t see a thing. You can’t even see from the gulf side to the bay side. There’s not enough seating. They have cabanas for seating that’s not even available cuz it has to be rented. The service is terrible. It was like there was only one server for the entire roof (minus if u were sitting at the bar). The server seemed like she was too good to serve us. The drinks were terrible. The wine was like wine cooler wine. The Moscow mule wasn’t in a copper mug and it was watered down before I even got it. It didn’t even taste like a mule. And of course, the drinks aren’t cheap. Their food menu was ridiculous – only five items and two of them were a salad and a wrap. Now who would want a salad or a wrap during happy hour!!! Finally, there was a band that was too loud and playing music that just didn’t fit the atmosphere. 360° was SUPER disappointing. We paid for our awful drinks as soon as we could find the server who didn’t care and made our cryptic way down to the garage where we had to pay/​tip to park cuz there’s hardly any parking and went to the rooftop bar at another hotel nearby. Definitely will not be returning to 360°!

Hands down the absolute worst hotel experience I have ever had.
We checked in for a weekend stay fairly late on a Friday night, 9PM or so. The front desk staff were friendly and our room was nice, especially the balcony. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy it for long! We left to meet friends that live in the area shortly after checking in and didn’t return until around midnight. We had breakfast the next morning in the restaurant (good food, slow service) and then left for the beach. We met up with our friends, caught a Rays game, did some exploring (and drinking!) and finally returned to our hotel around midnight again, this time to check out the rooftop bar. The bar was pretty neat. They had some live music and the weather was perfect. Service was, again, very slow and the drinks not very good, but we had a good time. What happened next was UNBELIEVABLE.
My traveling companion returned to our room, while I decided to walk down to the convenience store down the street to grab some late night snacks. Upon returning to the hotel, I found my friend standing at the front desk with all of our luggage. Apparently the toilet in our room had broken and flooded the bathroom. I expected apologies and an offer to move us to a new, and dry, room, but instead we were accused of breaking the toilet (deliberately?) and not telling anyone. Worse, they were ‘willing’ to move us to a new room, but we would be charged $ 100 for the inconvenience. We were completely at a loss as to what the hell was going on, and it was almost inconceivable that a hotel would take this stance on a maintenance issue like this. To add insult to injury, I was escorted to the room by the front desk attendant to ensure that I had all of my belongings, only to be humiliated by the woman as she located and then THREW one of my bras at me.
At this point we declined to move rooms, and although we were paid through the weeknd, opted to move to the Don CeSar Hotel down the street. The rest of our stay was amazing and as relaxing as it should have been from the beginning.
Do NOT stay here. The staff is rude and poorly trained. Spend the little bit extra to stay at the Don, it’s the only true 4 star hotel on St. Pete Beach.

The place has a great view, great atmosphere, and gorgeous design but service on roof top… not so much. wait for ever to get acknowledged, and even longer to get drinks.

This review is for the rooftop bar.
The views are stunning. The seating is comfortable. Servers are helpful. Drinks are pricey but not unusual for the area. The only downfall was the band was playing SO LOUD that first we tried moving farther away and eventually gave up and left. There were others around us saying the same. You couldn’t have a conversation. I will try again and hope it was just an off night.

Absolutely Amazing! Came here on a business trip. From the front desk, to the room, to the food at the downstairs restaurant, the whole experience was fabulous! Leslie the morning bartender is amazing as well. Definitely see her for breakfast. Didn’t get a chance to visit the rooftop but absolutely will be back. Clean, Modern, Chic… Loved it!

So disappointed with this hotel. With 1 or 2 exceptions, service was not friendly or helpful at the front desk. While it was nicely decorated, there was much to be desired. Windows in the room were not very insulated. The walls were paper thin. We could hear cars, construction, neighbors moaning at 4 am, and employees chatting below.
When we complained about the loud noise, we got two free well drink cards but no mention of a room switch. Since our complaint, we were definitely treated differently. We did not receive eye contact nor a greeting from the hotel front desk personal.
The female bartender at restaurant downstairs had a very difficult time making 2 drinks. The drinks took around 20 minutes to make and they did not taste anything like they should have. We had to ask the male bartender to correct them. Thankfully, the experienced male bartender was kind enough to fix it. I must give kudos to short blonde haired female bartender at the rooftop bar. She had a great personality and made an excellent mojito.
Finally had a chance to go down to pool area to relax and it was in complete disarray. .towels and empty drink cups were everywhere… not to mention what appeared to be either dirt or black mold on the seats and floor of thehot tub…
We were sooo looking forward to staying at this hotel. It’s a shame that we will not be returning.

A welcome breeze greatly helped to offset some of the heat that greeted guests gathered on the newly opened 360° Rooftop at the Hotel Zamora at St. Pete Beach.
And the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the opposite end makes this the perfect vantage point to soak in those stunning sights. Truly this is the largest rooftop bar and most memorable panoramic view the Tampa Bay area has to offer.
There are some covered cabanas off to one side but most of the clusters of couches and chairs are uncovered which might get a bit much when the Florida sun is still burning brightly but nightly that will not be an issue.
Would definitely go back to enjoy a sunset from this spot. There are bars on both ends and there will be a limited menu of items to eat but there is no kitchen on this level. However, the hotel restaurant is always an option for a pre– or post rooftop rendezvous.

A lovely weekend getaway from downtown St petersburg, huge room with balcony although ours did not have seats as some others did. Food was excellent as usual and great customer service. The «grotto» like pool is the best part! Was hoping the rooftop terrace and bar would be open. But not yet!

This is a very nice boutique hotel and the décor is lovely. The Zamora is near the Don CeSar at the south end of St. Pete Beach. It is across the street on the intercoastal (ie. NOT ON THE BEACH) but the view is nice here too and there is a dock. The hotel includes a partially covered pool and hottub. There is also a roof deck with nice views. It has a hip atmosphere and there is dance music playing by the pool and lounge area. So if you want a quiet retreat this might not be the spot for you. But the employees are quite friendly and people are there to enjoy a good time. :)
Drawbacks include the lack of beach access and the mandatory valet fee which I think was $ 18 per night (If you come just for dinner they waive the fee.) and a daily resort fee.
The rooms are quite nice and well appointed. The décor is beautiful and there are lots of nice places to sit and relax. It’s a Spanish castle motif. The restaurant (Castile) has a bar area, does a happy hour and serves up spendy Spanish food including tapas in a tasteful atmosphere with water views (intercoastal).

The first new hotel to open on St Pete Beach in 20 years! There would likely be far more if not for the ‘wonderful’ James Anderson who has been suing the city for the better part of a decade to stop most development, but I digress. Hotel Zamora opened in early 2014.
I have not stayed at the hotel yet, but have toured the property and eaten at the restaurant. The building is nice and new, and really puts every other hotel on St Pete Beach to shame, since they’re all decades old and nearly always sold out, which makes for zero motivation of those owners to update anything.
Zamora has valet parking and very nice staff. The reason I stopped in was in hopes of enjoying some cocktails on the rooftop bar I had heard about in the grand opening press release, but unfortunately that is not quite finished yet as of the date of this writing. They’re hoping to get that portion of the property open by July 4^th so patrons can watch local fireworks from the rooftop. I hope to check that out and grab some pics.
I’m sure I’ll have some experience with the rooms themselves soon enough as St Pete Beach is my local destination for weekend getaways from work life in Tampa.
