Pipers Patio is located in the Sandpiper wing of the Tradewinds Resort. It is a small restaurant with a covered patio overlooking one of their small pools. It was too bad that they don’t allow food or drink poolside. From the patio you can just make out the beach, past the pool, sand dunes, and sunburned tourists. I wouldn’t really say it is beach front dining, more of pool front. This day the pool was very crowded with tons of people and kids splashing, running, and screaming. It wasn’t a very relaxing view. The food was decent, but of course, overpriced. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. It came with a nice, if slightly bland, remoulade sauce. My sandwich also came with a side of fries which desperately needed some seasoning! Service was fine but slow. $ 50 for three for lunch, one of which was a kids meal? But, that’s about what we expected from a beachfront resort. BTW… the menu appears to be the same throughout the resort. You can dine poolside in some areas, not sure why not here.

Great beach front casual restaurant at the pool of the Tradwinds resort in St Pete beach. Jess a southern Georgia peach server was a delight. We sat by the pool with a view of the beach. I had the ribs our friends had the peppercorn steak. It was all good at beach front prices with lots of fruity drinks.
