Blind Pass Boat & Jet Ski Rentals

Had the time of my life!!! Captain Nick was more than awesome! First off I’m terrified of the ocean, by the end of day I was swimming in the ocean like a fish I even got on the tube and he promised he wouldn’t kill me. Well I rode it with my friend which a bigger girl than me (not fat wise) we took his ride better than anyone else on the boat even though The next day I had bruises all over me and across my nose because my friend landed on me! (proud moment because I don’t tube either) captain nick catered to our every need and we are a CRAZY BUNCH!!! As we floated in the water he would serve us fruit even put it in our mouths so it wasn’t salty, he also grabbed our phones and took pictures! Thank god because all we we’re more worried about how many cocktails we could down! Point of the story best day I’ve had ever! And must have captain nick as your captain! We are already planning our next trip with him!!! Beware lol wish I could give 10 stars!!!

The two-​hour guided jet ski tour with Eric was an absolute blast. He was calm and very kind. We had an incredible time on a beautiful Sunday morning, even spotting several dolphins jumping up close. Eric made sure we could go at our own pace and stop to enjoy the wildlife.
We were two beginners, but we had such a good time, we’ll both be seeking out future jet skiing opportunities. The tour was a great length, and we were happy that we could skip the beach break time in favor of more time on the water.
The equipment had excellent balance. Even given some choppier waves in some sections, the ski could handle all sorts of angles and stay comfortably upright.
Originally, I made a reservation for a two-​hour boat ride later in the day. I was grateful that the team accommodated a switch from that to the jet skiing excursion, canceling the boat ride with no issues.
We were told the company did not take reservations for the jet skis, rather it had a first-​come-​first-​serve policy. As an out-​of-​town customer with limited time for such excursions, this made me very nervous. By showing up early, we were able to get right out without waiting, though the people immediately behind us were not as lucky.
We had an absolutely amazing time, thanks Eric and team!

Had a great time renting a jet ski and a powerboat. Great staff, great instructions and no problems with equipment. Saw dolphins and got a close up view of the geography. Will definitely rent again during our annual trips.

If My wife and I ever go back to the east coast we’re going to St. Petersburg, Florida — just so we can go on another jet ski tour with Bert at Blind Pass. Our trip was for business, and it was stressful. The jet skis were the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the local culture and get our minds off the stress. Bert lead us through the water ways in a truly unique tour of the area. We jumped waves, idled along with a couple schools of dolphins, explored a small island, and hauled ass back. Bert was fun, knowledgable, and really just wanted us to have the best time possible. The tour was worth every penny and we would highly recommend Blind Pass. Looking forward to next time!

We rented a boat from Blind Pass Boat Rental for a few hours today and it was great! The boat was nice and they gave us really thorough directions. They are super nice and accommodating! They also seem to be more reasonably priced compared to other boat rentals in the area.

I rented a captain and a boat for my friend and he had a phenomenal experience. He needed to go out and take his father’s ashes to the sea and Bert was a sensitive and friendly captain who was very accommodating and understanding of the whole process. Ben helped on the phone and booked him at a very reasonable price and the experience was just as it it should have been. These guys know the area, know their stuff and they rock! AWESOME EXPERIENCE & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Awesome time! About a 10 mile round trip jet ski journey. Started heading south out on open ocean water and it was choppy (which I think was choppier than most days cause we went back a different way)! Stopped for a swim at Shell Key preserve then headed back north up through the channel. So if ur looking at the picture we started at the top, went down to the left, the back up on the right. The guide was fun, friendly and safe. I’ve been jet skiing before, my husband never had been so we rode on the same jet ski. I’ve only been jet skiing on a lake so this was a little more rough than I’m used to, but we both felt safe the entire time. There were 5 skis total in our group with another couple riding together. The guide defiantly gave us a run for our money, but never so much we felt we were being left behind. Especially in the open chop. But once
we got in the channel it was smooth and super fun to open it up all the way! Saw a few dolphins and got to collect some shells and sand dollars (only the white ones!) at the sand bar. Be ready to get wet, sunglasses help with the splash and wear your sunscreen!!!

Had a great time, nice comfortable boat and Cool Captain. Visited small sand island and snorkeling. Would definitely recommend for!

I love to jet ski, and so when I rent I want to find a place that has great gear, great service, great access to the water at a great price. Well look no need to look anywhere else!
These guys are situate just off the Gulf of Mexico in a location that is easy to access. They have a fleet of skis that are top brand and reliable. They are well maintained and for the novice, easy to use.
The staff is friendly and helpful with great attention to detail, and they know that not everyone who shows up thought of everything, like a dry a bag to out your stuff in. The pre rental process is easy and the instruction was great.
We did an hour and half rental and had a blast. If you want more assistance for you first time out I would recommend their 2 hour tour. All the prices were very reasonable.
I will be going back again.

This place is awesome. Great prices, friendly staff, and quality jet skis for rent. Came here with Niki, our two girls, and my niece. We had a great time and we will be back.

I never write reviews but this one is absolutely worth it. This place is AMAZING! They took a group of about 25 of us on 3 boats for the cheapest price I’ve seen anywhere. They were extremely accommodating when we had to wait an extra hr when people in my party were late and even gave us extra time for free! I work for a very large company that will continue to use this company for our corporate events. They were so friendly and made signing paperwork for waivers a breeze. I don’t know what more I could’ve asked for so if there’s a boat rental you need THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

I moved to St. Pete Beach 35 years ago. I have rented from everywhere. I have 2 childhood friends with rental businesses. I will only use Frenchy’s. I do not want to go on and on so I’ll be to the point: the best boats, the most encouraging staff with clear instructions for novices, the best prices.
And, I have to say this: I cannot imagine how anyone else could say otherwise honestly. I have heard about disingenuous reviews and am thoroughly convinced that anything negative said about Frenchy’s simply cannot be true.

Gave no notice, walked up to rent jet skis and were greeted by all around nice guys! They helped my husband and I get familiar and comfortable with everything and explain where to go. We only paid for an hour because we were planning on going into the gulf which was supposed to be rough and would make us tired… Well rough was an understatement!!! We quickly turned around and stayed on calmer waters! Would have liked to have paid for at least two hours and stay out longer! Would def return there when we go back! $ 100 for two hours?! Can’t beat that!

Fun time taking jet skis out on the gulf! Fair prices and great customer service! We called and set up on very short notice. They are not overly strict with rules and seem friendly and laid back. It was a smooth operation getting checked in and prepped on the Jet-​Ski do’s and don’t’s.
We had a blast tooling around the jet skis in front of the Don Ceasar. We got the jet skis back in time and there were absolutely no issues. I highly recommend a Gulf of Mexico Jet Ski adventure if you are around St. Pete Beach or Treasure Island and you have not done it before. It is almost like the Gulf was built for Jet Skis, it has just the right size waves.
I found it especially helpful that these guys work well with short notice. You never know when it might rain in the Tampa Bay Area, so you want to make sure the weather is going to be perfect before you pay money to rent a jet ski, especially with the long slow drive out of the intercostal to the Gulf of Mexico.

Thank you Robert & Julia for helping me complete a small check list item in my Bucket List :) I had a blast investigating the back water ways around Treasure Island via one of your Kayaks.

I go here every year when I’m in town visiting my dad. They are reasonable about the rules and have never once been treated rudely. The jet skis are always clean and in good working condition.
I like this place and will continue to be a customer.

First time here with my GF. We rented 2 Wave Runners at $ 75 each per hour with a $ 10 discount on each. After taxes came out to about $ 70/​hr.
We were greeted immediately and started on the paperwork shortly after. Service was prompt and to the point. In a few minutes time we were sea bound and having a blast!
Customer service could use improvement with the girl at the desk (a bit abrasive) but luckily was brief. Overall if you’re looking to cut it up in the Gulf of Mexico it’s definitely worth a visit!

Awful! I decided to rent a boat as a fathers day surprise for my family. After about an hour drive of suspense and excitement we arrived at Frenchy’s and the surprise was revealed. Excited we approached the service counter to a line and proceeded to wait, not a surprise to us considering it was fathers day and the weather was perfect. As we waited in line we continued talking about the days activity, needless to say there was a lot of laughter and the usual family banter. Our jovial mood would soon be rudely interrupted by Julia who was operating the service desk. She snapped at us like a parent at a two year old child because we were not paying attention. Julia wanting to know why we were not paying attention, scolded «Are you guys with this family?» «mmm, no.» we said. Then with such an attitude she said, «Well I wish I had known so I didn’t have to repeat the instructions.» I responded, «You didn’t ask us». She hadn’t even greeted us yet so I would think she would have known we weren’t with the party in front of us. We arrived in separate cars and at different times.
After about a 30 minute wait our boat was ready. We filled out the paperwork being snapped at and being treated abrasively, «Fill this out… u forgot this… not like that like this.» Despite her attitude and bipolar like interaction, snapping then smiling, she proceeded with her ill fitted instructions. After being treated like punished children we proceeded shaking our head to the boat. There, things got a lot better, the two guys who I wish I got their name were very friendly and even assisted us with loading our cooler and towels onto the boat.
Once, on the water, the experience was very lovely, all except for the depth finder which is suppose to alert you to shallow water. Well, the darn thing went off practically the whole time, beeping continuously, only silencing for a few minutes and then starting again. We arrived at Shell Island, anchored the front of the boat, and then proceeded to secure the stern when the rope broke, snapping in half. After a phone call to Frenchy’s, a new rope was brought to us by one of the gentlemen who helped on the boat. We were in business, securing the boat and starting to swim, looking for sea shells, and most importantly, relaxing, exactly what I wanted for my family.
After a few hours we saw the boat move. Our front anchor had come loose. We gathered the rope. We quickly found out our front rope had snapped as well. Well, needless to say, with no rope our day was over. We considered calling again but the amount of time it would take to have another rope brought to us our day would be over. So we headed back early. As instructed by Julia, we called at marker 9 to let them know we were on our way back. We arrived minutes later just to have her snap, «You were supposed to call». Well, I’d had it with her attitude and responded, «I just spoke with you!!!». She sent someone down to help us dock.
After we had cleared the boat inspection we headed back to the counter to deal with Julia and her attitude. We explained that our ropes broke. She tried to charge us for the anchor that was left in the water after we explained the rope just broke and we had nothing to do with it. She didn’t charge us. The faulty equipment cost us our last hour on the boat, as well as, an hour waiting for a new rope when the first rope broke. Julia pro-​rated us $ 10 for our early return. $ 10!!!
I have been a boater since I was a young girl and I have never had a rope break! Frenchy’s attitude towards their consumers is to treat everyone like an idiot, even when you are a responsible adult looking to have a fun day in the sun with your family. Not only will I never return to Frenchy’s, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Tampa Bay offers many boat rental companies which I will happily give my business to in the future.
