We loved their Cupcakes! My bosses are pretty picky, but everyone loved the cupcakes we bought today. We picked out 7 and if you buy 4 or more they take 5% off your total. It was about $ 21 for 7 cupcakes, not bad at all. We had red velvet, carrot cake, lemon, key lime, vegan chocolate, dulce de leche, an I love lucy(a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and a cute little heart on top). The women helping us was super friendly, we also tried their Caramels, they were super yummy! We will defiantly be going back for more. :)

Today I stopped in for a coffee. It was really good. I think I might grab it here versus the Starbucks on the other side of the street. The workers were really kind today which is «newer-ish!» I’ll see how it goes next time.

I came in about 15 minutes before closing time not knowing it was 15 minutes before closing time. The guy with a very strong accent would not let me order from the whole menu I had to have an Americano was my only choice for a coffee drink. The hours listed that they closed at seven he shut off the sign and lock the door behind me on my way in at 6:45 and wouldn’t let other people approaching the door come in to place any orders. Americano I was forced to order was horrible espresso tasted burnt I was not allowed to use any cream or sugar because they had put it away for the night. I’m shocked that this place has made it as long as it has if this is the way they treat the customers

Chocoholics here is your place. More choices of cupcakes with chocolate then you could possibly manage. There are also other pastry items and hot food choices available as well as cold and hot drinks. The coffee is a fine deep roasted blend with sort of a nutty flavor, the kind you like to hold feeling the warmth of the cup as you sip awhile. The soup and other hot foods will take awhile to prepare so keep that in mind if you are in a hurry. The shop is a bit too small for it’s needs but will have to do along this increasingly popular stretch of Snelling Ave.

The man behind the counter was helpful, friendly, and had plenty of recommendations! The cupcakes were dense, moist, and delicious. I have a food baby now and I’m not ashamed of it.

Cupcake has the best French macaroons. I had them at a party and had to buy them for myself. I went to their St. Paul location, only to find out they were sold out. «We sell out most days,» the associate said, «try coming back tomorrow. We open at 7:00.» I came back the next morning at 8:00, and the front doors were locked. I googled the store hours and it showed that they opened at 7:00. An employee inside saw me and came to the door. She informed me that they didn’t open until 9:00, and there would be no macaroons today. I think this business could benefit from some improved organization and consistency.

The frosting was so plain, and most of them tasted like jello :(my first and last time going there.

Felt compelled to add review because my cupcakes tonight were nothing but moist and delicious — NOT bland and dry! I tried the gluten-free chocolate and the«regular» amaretto and both were seriously to die for. The amaretto was amazing — hoping they have that one next time I visit. I did not sit and eat my cupcake — just took it to go — so I will update my review when I sit there to enjoy my treats. I occasionally get gluten-free pastries and the double chocolate tonight was impressive. Even my husband could not believe it was gluten-free. Not sure if something has changed since the first reviews, but the two cupcakes I got tonight were well worth $ 10. Will definitely go back for more.

I have to agree with one of the other posters @ $ 4 a cupcake they are dry and bland. I stopped in this morning right when they opened at 10. I bought a choc croissant and a choc chocolate cupcake. The croissant was mehhh… and the cupcake was dry and bland. Being the first customer I thought it would be warm and soft. IF it was a day old cupcake then they shouldn’t have charged me full price or at least warned me that it wasn’t fresh. I assume it was a fresh one though, since another poster also said they were dry. I gave it a 6 second boost in the microwave when I was home to soften it up and I still didn’t finish it. Not worth the calories my friend said. The $ 4 charge is for the fancy box and sprinkles, not the quality of the treat.

I love chocolate and all things sweet and yes they do a real good chocolate cupcake. My only issue is they are a little expensive and I’ve bought 3 from there so far and two of them tasted a little dry. The frosting is more-able though.

We picked out 6 different cupcakes, the Elvis, blueberry lemon, key lime, Claire Huxtable, s’mores, and one other I can’t remember. The s’mores tasted so much like smoke or campfire it was inedible. The rest had okay flavor but were over baked and dry. Extremely disappointing at near $ 4 a cupcake. Will definitely be finding cupcakes elsewhere in the future.

I was *so* excited when I discovered that Cupcake had opened a St. Paul location near me! I mean, Jessica Day IS my patron saint but there’s just no way a human can not NOT be excited about cupcakes – and this place is *the* company to visit! This location located near Flirt and Patina on Snelling is significantly smaller than the University location but in a way I much prefer it. It feels like a cozy little secret location with all the same treats! There are about 6 tables with great big windows to let the sun in. As you walk in the pastry case beckons you with bright colors and happy cupcakes. The few times I’ve visited I’ve always been greeted by very friendly staff; they always make pleasant conversation and are patient with me when I simply can’t decide among the glorious options. If I remember correctly, their 12 oz latte comes with two shots(bargain!!) and they have the full list of coffee drinks you could want. The place has always been spotless whenever I’ve visited(about 5 times now) and today was the first day I actually had the time to sit and eat my cupcake, have a chat with a friend and sip on my coffee. While this isn’t necessarily a good location for big groups of people, it’s certainly the perfect location for meeting a friend for an afternoon coffee and treat. The neighborhood has quite a few shops nearby so you can do some window-shopping afterwards. Street parking is the only options but so far I have not had trouble finding a place to park. Right out front is only 15 minute parking so that moves rather quickly, but right around the corner is more extended options. What a cute location and what a luxury to have their award winning cupcakes so close! Thanks Cupcake for thinking of little olé us in St. Paul! :)
