Holiday Inn St. Louis – Downtown Conv Ctr

The place is like any other Holiday inn, but they charge $ 10 per person for same buffet breakfast at any other Holiday inn and $ 15 per day for parking, when its $ 5 across the street. Plus they forgot to clean our rooms.

this is the worst of customer service and rip off fees for accusations of neglect. Had stayed here for years, Tiffany and Steve where the best managers this place ever had. UNION WORKERS SUCK! and the disrespectful attitude in your group screws the whole group. The rental cops here are gung ho on trying to assess fees and make them self needed. I have photos of the lady smoking cigarettes and in her serving gloves while standing on the food line serving food talking christian propaganda about my shirt. These workers need to respect the community or not be in the service industry.

The slowest and worst service I have ever seen. They remodeled the hotel nice but should of revamped the help. Same 10 servers that can’t get a job somewhere else

I love the remodel here! Rooms are spacious and since I lived here «back in the day» I have fond memories of clubbing a few blocks away. So there is plenty to do a couple blocks away. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I just have to take off one star for the fact that they have a nice big room for the fitness center, yet the treadmills are somewhat outdated and there are no elliptical machines and they have free weights, but no benches, yet a big open space for both.

The only reason I cannot give 4 or 5 Stars for this hotel is because of two huge annoyances.
1. The TV does not work most of the time. I only got to watch about 20 minutes of television while I was there for 20 hours. It’s terrible and it was a floor-​wide thing. (4^th floor)
2. When the TV goes out, so does the complimentary wi-​fi. Very frustrating.
The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The hotel lobby is huge and clean. They are within walking distance to the Arc and the metro station which can take you to the St. Louis. I would highly recommend if you have a lot of time on your hands. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Anything you’d expect from a Holiday Inn.

I’m here for my brother’s wedding from Texas. Our flight arrived at 0730 and when I called the hotel they allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived. They also allowed me to check in the bride and groom early since they were driving in the next day. The staff are very helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I am a TOUGH critic when it comes to hotels but this one was awesome. A little farther away from Busch Stadium and the Arch than I would have liked but I would stay here again. Very clean, freshly renovated, nice little hotel bar, and complementary lemonade in the lobby!

Not sure what the negative reviews are all about. This place os awesome. Great job on the renovations and will undoubtedly stay here again.
I started out with the above comment and would have given between 4 and 5 stars. Until that is, we went to check out of our room on Sunday morning and discovered my truck that was parked in the hotel’s leased lot had been stolen and subsequently wrecked after being ransacked. Still liked the room and hotel only believe the responsibility for security in a leased parking lot belongs to that of the leasee.

I’ve reviewed hotels before and my biggest sticking point is price. I hope that one day all hotels remodel to include swanky bedding and flat-​screen TVs so there’s cheap and super expensive options that have decent beds and comforts. Since that hasn’t happened yet, I look to places like this Holiday Inn to meet my needs.
One important point of note: Until like two weeks ago, this Holiday Inn was a Ramada. We actually made reservations for this hotel on Ramada’s website but when we arrived we were surprised that there was NO Ramada at this address; instead, it was a Holiday Inn. We were confused, to say the least, but the change is definitely for the better. The previous reviews of the Ramada in this location average TWO stars and that is definitely not this Holiday Inn.
Since we booked a room a bit late, this location was really our only option that didn’t cost over $ 200/​night. Wash U graduations were going on, baseball games, and other events that basically filled up every hotel in the city. Though I was a bit wary of this place, I was pleasantly surprised with what we ended up with.
The hotel workers (porters, desk attendants, bartenders, etc.) were all VERY aware of the recent name/​management change that took place and they were incredibly accommodating in explanations, amenities providing, and general customer service. They were super willing to answer questions since I’m sure they got about 10 000 just the morning that I arrived and they weren’t showing their understandable frustration that comes with a total remodel and name change.
Parking was $ 10 and right across the street (north), just take a ticket at the autoticket thing when you enter and tell the front desk that you parked there and they’ll give you a voucher to leave when you’re done (and your charge shows up on your room bill not as a separate parking ticket). $ 15 per day gets you unlimited in/​out privileges, just ask the desk for a voucher each time you want to leave to get in/​out of the garage.
Remodel looks excellent. New, open, modern lobby with a lot of shared seating and a new bar/​restaurant. Bar serves liquor until at least 1 a.m. on weekends and servers are super nice. Looks like restaurant is full service for all meals, including breakfast, but no breakfast is included in the room price. Each room has new bedding, new comfortable pillows, lots of storage and a modern flat-​screen TV. Refrigerator is concealed in the cabinetry, desk and chair for work are available, and modern lighting plus an armchair for comfort sitting.
Pool is in an atrium on the second floor that looks really cool. There’s a view of the atrium from the elevator bay on each floor and the pool is really clean, modern, features lots of seating and is open until 10 p.m. each night.
Our room was about $ 160/​night when we booked it through the Ramada website, so price could be prohibitive if searching now as a Holiday Inn. It’s right across from the STL Convention Center and about a block and a half from Washington Street and the bars/​restaurants on that strip. Kinda pricey, but could be even more now that the hotel has changed ownership. I’ve actually stayed in the Hilton right across from the ballpark and I actually like the location of this Holiday Inn better because it’s only about a 15 – 20 minute walk from the ballpark and only 10 minutes walking to the City Museum and other bars/​restaurants and breweries, which are cooler than being right across from the Arch and the ballpark.
All in all, I very much enjoyed my experience here. The new remodel was a definite plus, the bar had alcohol, the staff were friendly and this place is about a 10-​minute walk from everything you want to see and do. Free Wifi is a huge PLUS, especially since they had just fixed it post-​transition. It was easy to access and worked like a charm.
