Receptionist chatter heard throughout the entire massage, tiny & cold massage room, unprofessional masseuse.
After a string of stressful/​busy weeks I found myself in need of a massage — I could not have been more excited for a much needed hour of relaxation. I headed to the new location on Excelsior Boulevard and was discouraged to arrive to the masseuse and receptionist talking loudly as I attempted to fill out my paperwork. As I entered the massage room, I was surprised to find the brightly-​lit room barely fit the massage table. The masseuse was friendly, but friendliness does not necessarily mean relaxing — it was a bit jarring as she offered me a pre-​massage high five. We got off to a bad start as she fumbled to figure out how to turn on the music.
The massage itself was not the worst massage I’ve ever had, however I couldn’t help but feel as if she was rushing to get it over with. She struggled to maneuver around the tiny massage room, often bumping her stool into the wall creating a startling noise.
Throughout the entire massage, I was distracted by the noisy reception area that was only a few feet from where I laid. Between talking with customers, the receptionist made personal phone calls and chatted with other masseuses of which I could hear every single word. The paper-​thin walls not only polluted the massage room with noise of receptionist chatter, but with slamming doors, heavy footsteps and talk from the neighboring massage room.
As I left, the receptionist failed to offer me the holiday promotional cost I had been offered over the phone, and was visibly annoyed when I asked about it. Overall, a very poor experience at this cramped massage studio. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Paige was FANTASTIC! Run to request her — I am a massage instructor from L.A., and very critical. She has very strong hands, and great skill in massage. I showed up with a lot of shoulder and upper back tension, as well as a leg injury I am tending, and she helped it all in one hour. I am in the midst of moving to WI, and was blown away by the massage I received from Paige. I will be back — the place is very pleasant, they have weekend hours, package deals, and an ideal environment. My relative that brought me, waited in the lobby, and said that everyone coming out was saying things like, «Amazing!» «Fantastic» after their massages, too, so I am guessing they have a great staff.

Terrible customer service! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY! I purchased 2 living social coupons, one for a microdermabrasion and one for a facial. It was nearly impossible to get either appt scheduled. They were under staffed and the esthetician was only in part of 3 days during the week. After calling several times, I finally got an appt for the microdermabrasion. I also made an appt for the facial. When I had the microdermabrasion, it was a good experience, but then they wanted to reschedule the facial. The owner, Patricia, promised she would call me within 24 hrs with a new appt. She never called. I called several times in the next 2 weeks, but she never returned any phone calls. Finally, someone that answered the phone made a new appt for me. The day before the appt, they called and cancelled again. They said the esthetician had quit and they needed to hire someone new. Not surprising, as the people I was dealing with were difficult… I wouldn’t want to work with them. She did call back within a few days and said they had an opening on Friday. It was not a time that I could come in. She seemed very put out that I couldn’t come then and said well, the esthetician would have to call and see what they could work out… like I was really inconveniencing them! I’ve never heard from them again and I’m done with the whole terrible experience. I’m going to eat the fee I paid for the facial. I will NEVER recommend or patronize this business again!

Who doesn’t love a massage? Especially when you have a gift certificate and it’s a free massage! Hashtag winning.
My masseuse was great and really sweet. Plus, she respected my no-​talking policy. A massage is one of those instances in life where silence is definitely a requirement in my book. Unfortunately, the man in the room next to me apparently felt as though his hour long session equaled a social hour. Either the walls need to be more sound-​proof or he has the loudest voice on the planet. It was quite distracting. Also, my room was a tiny bit cold — darn!
Everyone who works here is so nice and professional, though, so it’s a possibility that I’ll be back.

An hour long massage is priced at $ 70 plus taxes. Positive Body Dynamics also offers deals where buying in bulk saves you money. For example a package of 6 30-​minute massages costs $ 222 (instead of $ 252 if purchased separately). You can choose from a wide variety of massages, from Swedish to trigger point.
PBD is decorated tastefully in darker earth tones and is a quiet space. There’s a fireplace in the lobby making the waiting area cosy and welcome. Complimentary hot tea is available. The staff is friendly and the LMTs are professional, providing excellent services. I have been going here for over two years now. One of the receptionists was very helpful in helping me find a good match in terms of what I was looking for in a massage therapist. I now see this LMT exclusively and am extremely satisfied with her.
