Pampered Pooch Playground

They are truly the best out there!!! Everyone is so nice and helpful! They greet Wrigley with such excitement every time we walk in! She loves it there! We have been going there every week for the past 7 years. We use them for weekly daycare and boarding! First class all the way! Everyone ROCKS from the owners to the management to the crew in the back that plays the dogs!

I really don’t know what there isn’t to love about pampered pooch. After moving to the «Burbs» from downtown, I had heard review after review about pampered pooch. My last experience at an un-​named downtown daycare, my dog showed up wet and shivering and dirty, and the employee without a care in the world, I was desperate :)
The employees at Pampered Pooch are amazing and so kind. They know the dogs by name, give a report card after the first visit, and the most important, they make me feel so safe sending my puppy here. I leave for work and know that he is not only in great hands but is having a blast and incredibly safe.
My dog is about 20 – 25 pounds, and has a ton of energy. Other places used to put him with the «big dogs» where I think he was a little overwhelmed. Here, I can actually see online that he’s with tons of pals in Canine Cove.
I truly would recommend Pampered Pooch to anyone in the SW Suburbs area!

Spending a weekend in Minneapolis from Chicago & am checking out some daycares for my dog child to hang out at while we are out exploring. What kind of place discriminates against specific breeds? «No bully breeds allowed» seriously, what a joke. You should be ashamed. I would never trust a place that discriminates against ANY breed & neither should you. Unless of coarse, you also discriminate then you will love it there.

I seriously can’t say enough good things about PPP. My family moved to MN August 16^th. After a week in a condo, we moved into our house. August had been a stressful, busy month for all of us, Haole, our 4 yr old black lab, included. The morning of August 28^th Haole got into the garbage and ate half a rotisserie chicken before I caught him. He was up every hour that night needing to go out. Literally sick as a dog. Friday we were heading to Dallas to celebrate my husbands grandmothers 100^th birthday, Haole was going to board at PPP. Timing could not have been worse. But this was something we couldn’t miss. I told the staff at PPP what had happened, let them know his stomach might be upset etc… Saturday morning I texted them to see how he was, I had been watching him on their webcam and he didn’t seem himself. Jess called me. It seems H was vomiting his water, had diarrhea and was lethargic. Not knowing Haole real well yet, she didn’t know if his behavior was normal under stress or if he was sick, and left it up to us whether they take him to the vet. I asked her to take him to the vet, stating I would fly home if need be, would give them my credit card number over the phone to pay for whatever was needed. Jess gave me her personal cell phone number and stressed I could call/​text at any time, and she would keep me posted. True to her word she did. She brought H to an animal ER, was with him every step of the way, took a pic of him & texted it for me to see. We talked several times about what the vet was recommending for treatment (seems H had a case of gastroenteritis). Jess then offered to take Haole home with her for the night to keep a better eye on him! Seriously! She treated him like he was hers, gave him his meds & special diet the vet put him on, took care of him and most importantly loved him. The gratitude I have for this woman is endless. When we picked Haole up Monday afternoon, the staff said he was a sweet boy and feeling so much better. For them to go so above and beyond for a new customer is heartwarming, especially over a busy weekend, not only did Jess step up but the staff had to with her leaving the site to take care of H. They have won a customer for life.

I am not typically one to write a Unilocal review, but I am hoping this will help other crazy dog parents like me! I was so nervous about taking my pup, Penny, to any daycare and I combed through reviews before going with Pampered Pooch — and I am so glad I did!
Penny is seriously OBSESSED with PPP — it’s ridiculous. As soon as we get near the building, she is crying to get out of the car and when we do she pulls as hard as she can into PPP and toward the door back to the play room. She loves going to daycare and it gives us such great peace of mind knowing she is having a blast and will be a tired puppy that night!
We recently boarded her at PPP for the first time (again I was spazzing about leaving her) and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She had so much fun playing with her friends for four days. When we brought her home, she acted completely normal, not traumatized or mad at us for leaving her.
When we brought her back to daycare two days later, I was nervous that she wouldn’t want to go back out of fear of us leaving her again, but she seemed even more excited than usual! I was so surprised. Her behavior speaks for itself — PPP and it’s employees are top notch. Thank you so much to the team for taking such good care of Penny!

Friendly staff and our little lady, Grace, gets her own cubby for her leash since she goes to daycare regularly. Makes us feel special. :)
Grace comes home after every visit very happy and content. We love watching her on the web cams available on the iPhone app. What a splendid idea!
Package deals for daycare are priced right and we feel confident about the quality of care during every visit. Dropoff and pickup hours are extremely convenient!

PPP is truly a five-​star business. Why?
— Our dog Linny LOVES to go there. She’s way more excited to go to PPP than she is to see us, so we’ll have to work on that. Plus, she’s always exhausted at the end of the day, so she definitely gets her playing in.
— Webcams. It’s always fun to check in on what she’s doing throughout the day and see who she’s playing with.
— The staff. I haven’t met one staff member who doesn’t genuinely care about Linny. If there’s any issues at all, they’ve notified me immediately.
— The hours. I tend to work early in the mornings, and they’ve always been super accommodating when it comes to scheduling.
I couldn’t be happier with the service from Pampered Pooch.

I’ve been taking my pup here now for over a year. Yes there’s probably cheaper places to go but here’s why I don’t mind: There’s a couple girls that aren’t super human friendly. When I walk in they seem tired but when they see my dog… Wow. They scoop him up, become awake and honesty excited to see him. That is why I come here. They genuinely are dog people. They care about him and that’s what I care most about. He’s been there for daycare and even overnight stays up to 10 days. I was skeptical at first about their stricter less barking policy but you know what, the dog comes home unstressed and it just feels calmer there. 5 stars all the way around. I trust them and know they love my dog which is most important to me.

If I could give them 6 stars I would! We have been coming here for a few years now. They are the best. I can’t say enough good things about them. I am «that» dog mom who worries constantly. My corgi Stella is shy and nervous. I was nervous about leaving her anywhere. She loves it here! I have no worries whatsoever.
I have also used the grooming services and that is top notch as well.

I cannot say enough good things about PPP. My Toy Fox Terrier, Sally, has been visiting the crew for almost 3 years and I’ve been thrilled with the service. Sally is usually so excited to play that she starts wiggling as soon as we pull in the parking lot. Keith and the team are excellent at what they do and I always felt so comfortable leaving Sally in their care. I am moving to Atlanta and hope that I find a daycare that is as wonderful as Pampered Pooch!

I’m new to the area and decided to check out this place based on the Unilocal comments. I tried to be objective but when I walked into the place and saw dried dog poop and hair at the front door and two employees in there working… with no interest of cleaning it up… I was thrown off. I asked about rates and decided not to bring my baby girl here. Instead I drive all the way out to Maple Grove just to board her at PetHotel because I KNOW she’ll be taken care of. A piece of mind is worth the drive.

Our little girl Tilly raves about Pampered Pooch every time she comes home from a hotel stay! Tilly gets a private cot and area for bedtime and gets to play all day long in one of many multiple rooms with smaller, medium, and larger dogs. She likes to play with all sizes. Netty is her friend among others and when someone has a birthday, everyone gets treats! Pampered takes so good care of Tilly that she comes home pooped every time! We don’t live close to Pampered Pooch but, it’s worth the drive for our little girl is happy!

I’ve used this place a couple times for doggie daycare for our 40 lb Beagle/​Boxer mix, Charlotte. Our dog is very high energy so it is helpful to let her have a day at Pampered Pooch once in a while during the winter months when we can’t spend as much time outside.
The Location is easy to find and easy to get to. They have an assortment of doggie treats, leashes, and misc in the lobby area. Their staff has been very freindly and helpful. They do a good job at screening incoming dogs to make sure everyone is up to date with vaccinations. The price is typical for the area. I plan on trying out some of their other services in the future!

I can’t say enough good things about Pampered Pooch! Keith and Trisha are wonderful and so is the rest of the staff! My boxer LOVES going here… SO much that I almost fall over because she pulls the leash so hard to get in there! It’s comforting to know that she is in such great hands when we have to go out of town or when we leave her for daycare. I know she’ll have a blast and come home super tired (extra plus!). And the best part is, I can keep an eye on her on the iphone app!
We also did training here, which was great! I can honestly say, I can attribute a lot of my dogs good behavior to training and doggy socialization at PPP!

To say my Yorkie loves Pampered Pooch would be an understatement. He gets so excited to go there that he does circles in the parking lot until we get him into play.
I love their webcams for checking in, and their friendly, dog loving staff.
They have great hours 7am-​7pm.
They separate the dogs in rooms based on their size and play style, and have a nice outdoor area with pools, sprinklers and hoses for nice days.

We took our dog here for an «interview» in an attempt to find a kennel for when we go out of town. The lady said that our dog, who only barked twice, might have to have an electric «bark collar» (aka: collar that shocks our dog if he barks-​they also go off if dogs nearby bark) if he stayed there. Um, are you effing kidding? We love our dog, so we decided to go somewhere else.

this place is amazing. keith & all the employees are fabulous… and even though our dogs are there only once in awhile… they all know them by name! I no longer feel guilty about going out of town & leaving my dogs behind b/​c they love this place too!

This place is how a small business should be ran. A+.
I ran into a small, insignificant communication problem with booking an appointment and the staff went above and beyond to appease me and my little doggie. The owner, Keith, was so friendly and nice I’d bring my dog back here again and again just for him.
I’ve taken training here, and she’s excellent. We’ve also done daycare. Great staff, great business concept catering to actual customer needs, great prices.

I dropped Rigel off for his (and mine) first boarding experience for 3 days. I felt really comfortable having researched thoroughly because I was a nervous wreck leaving him with strangers. When I picked him up, he fell right asleep in the car and slept for 2 days… unheard of! He really loved it. They were really extremely accommodating when I couldn’t drop him off until past 7 since I was stuck at work.
I found a big wound on his belly the next day and called them up because it looked like there were stitches in it so I was obviously concerned. Keith called me back right away and looked into the matter ASAP. I really liked the way he handled it– you can tell he was truly concerned and also very hands-​on with his biz. He researched with his staff and couldn’t find a solution why Rigel had what I thought were stitches and assured me they would never have done anything like that without telling me. I had figured as much because I got a great vibe from them, but I was looking at the wound and it looked like there were stitches there!
So I took Ryg to the vet and Ryg did get a serious belly wound from playing there but the «stitches» were actually the way the scab was healing, 2 perfectly centered x’s, that made it look like stitches. Keith even called to followup which I really appreciated.
I’ve brought Rigel back a few times since for boarding and just bought a package for daycare because he really does love it there! I love watching him on the webcams and seeing how happy he is when he comes home. I don’t have a ton of money but I think it’s worth the splurge when I can to let him romp around all day at PPP.
They’re really friendly and obviously love animals. Highly recommend them as they know how to run a good business!!! Ryg gives them 5 peanut butter filled Kongs… maybe even a frozen peanut butter filled Kongs! :)

What can I add to all the other great reviews… Keith and Trycia have a business model that was so well planned, even in this economy. They get it that people feel that their pets are family and they keep their clients engaged. Keith is a marketing genius! You never have to wonder what is going on with your pooch, he lets you know via Twitter, FaceBook, Unilocal,blogs, etc. He has cameras and an iPhone app that allow you to check and see what your dog is doing and he understands that some of the dogs (parents) are a bit high-​maintenance.
Our dog starts to get excited the moment we turn the corner, he can’t wait to go to PPP. The minute he gets in there he is running for the staff and wants to get back to the play room — there is no looking back. If you have any hesitations, talk with the owners for 2 minutes and you will know how dedicated they are — it doesn’t get any better than this!

I was able to bring in my 3 lb maltese, Gimchi for his first daycare experience today. I called them super late on Memorial day, and Keith returned my phone call in an hour. Impressive! He was very friendly on the phone and made me feel comfortable bringing in my puppy. I was able to send the first time registration form via e-​mail, so it only took 5 minutes to enroll him in the morning. When I got to work, I was able to check out the play area through their web cam. It was good to see that Gimchi was running around and having so much fun with the other puppies.
The facility is clean. The owners/​staff are friendly. The web cam to monitor your baby online is a huge plus. If you ever felt nervous about bringing your dog to a daycare, try them out. Especially while they are running the free evaluation promo. You will be so glad you did as you watch them have so much fun on the cool web cam! :)
