We specialize in providing functional, outcome-​driven massage and acupuncture services. Our services are provided by practitioners with top education in our field and exceptional concern for whatever brings you in.

History

Established in 2013.

Our business grew primarily through word-​of-​mouth referrals by active competitors of triathlons, marathons and other local race events. The analytic approach we take to these individuals translates down to every person who comes in for aches, tension or general stress relief. Our acupuncture practice also has grown with our specialties in fertility support, cosmetic facial acupuncture and a broad knowledge base in neurological, internal and respiratory dysfunction.

We are proud to be the exclusive internal providers of massage and acupuncture for Target, Inc. as well as having developed many strategic relationships with local gyms, healthcare providers and orthopedic specialists.

We opened our beautiful new studio in the heart of St. Louis Park with easy access from Minneapolis, Edina, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Plymouth, Uptown, Downtown and the entire western metro suburbs. Our space is clean with a modern loft feel about it giving it a bright, airy vibe.

I came in to visit Andy for a prenatal massage, with chronic back pain as an underlying issue. He was so helpful and informative throughout the entire experience! The table used was incredibly comfortable for my pregnant belly, which is tough to find these days as it continues to grow further and further out! I felt so refreshed and my back pain was relieved for quite some time after the massage, making it feel like everything was back in place again. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a massage!

Mikki is a massage magician. I am very active, and travel a lot for work so I am not able to keep a regular massage schedule. When I am able to get into for massage with Mikki, she pinpoints exactly where I’m tense, is amazing with pressure, and gives me the best experience. I literally feel like a new person when I leave. I’ve had massages all over the country, and no one compares to her. She is truly gifted.

Chelsea was awesome! After working through a lot of uncomfortable soreness with CrossFit for a few months, especially in my left shoulder, Chelsea did a great job getting out knots in places I didn’t even know I had them! I left the massage feeling super relaxed and like my muscles were in the right places again.

Great service! The therapist I was scheduled for had an unexpected conflict, and Andy notified me right away. We re-​scheduled with no problems, and Andy even gave me a discount for the (very slight) inconvenience. Chelsea provided a great sports massage, working with me to help relieve soreness and tight muscles from a new workout routine. Will be back!

I was very skeptical on acupuncture in general before coming here. I saw improvement in everything from muscle pain to insomnia. Ask for Andy, you’ll find he has a long list of loyal clients and several athletes that keep coming back. Plus, easy parking!

I stopped in to see Andy for a problem with my knee. The original point was to have acupuncture done to relieve pain and swelling. He did a full intake and did some great soft/​deep tissue work in addition to the acupuncture. He is one of the most knowledgeable practitioners I’ve worked with and really cared about my well being.
The space is modern and immaculately clean.
I highly recommend Function among the many choices of practitioners in the Twin Cities.

I can’t say enough great things about Andy. He is finally helping me find pain relief after 10 year of neck issues! The difference is that he actually listens to me unlike other massage and pain therapists and he is 100% committed to working to finding a solution. He isn’t just going through the motions or doing a «routine».

I don’t get a massage often enough, but when I do, I make an appointment with Andy.
My body has issues, above and beyond what most people have, but that is no issue for him. I prefer to book an appointment with him for 90 minutes, probably because I don’t get in to see him often enough.
When I get off the table I know one thing: there will not be a single major muscle group that hasn’t been worked on.
Once you have had a massage with Andy you will understand why he has so many professional athletes and performers (Cirq de Soliel, for example) for clients.
The new space for Function is great and hopefully he will get some signage on the outside of the building soon. If you book an appointment allow a couple of extra minutes as the new location is a bit tricky to find but not impossible.
