I wanted to do 2 stars just so you’ll believe me, but I can’t. I just called the manager and listed all the things I asked the maids to do, which they did not do. He said, «Well I’ve never heard that before about her. There’s nothing I can do.» I gave him more examples: I pointed out the tub in the back to them three times, saying, «Make sure you get the tub.» They did not. I asked them to vacuum the sofas downstairs, they did not. The lead person did not communicate to the other 2, non-​English speakers what work there was to do. In the end, as they left without mopping an entire floor, I asked, «Did you sweep and mop upstairs?» (I knew they didn’t; I was here, but I thought I would jog her memory.) She said, «Yes!» and ran out. The manager simply maintains it’s hard for him to believe! Gee, there’s nothing I can do!
How do they get away with it? $ 30 an hour!!! For $ 10, fine, I wouldn’t complain. But the work was shoddy, very. We had to go back through and vacuum all the dust bunnies ourselves — that’s not a detail, that’s just cleaning that should happen when you hire someone. We also had to go back and do the things on our list. They seemed annoyed at having to be in the house working. Plenty of other places to choose from — stay away from this one.

After three visits by the Ecomaids team, I absolutely would not recommend these cleaners.
Despite requests to vacuum my furniture (and agreeing to pay a surcharge for them to do so), this service was not performed. Moreover, even if you have them come more frequently, they will consistently charge you the initial rate quoted — case in point, when I had the team come 9 days after the last cleaning to help me prepare for an event in my home, I will still charged a monthly cleaning rate. When I complained, I was informed that «their system doesn’t allow them to process refunds.» Eek.
While it’s great that they use ecofriendly cleaning materials, the quality just isn’t there — in their cleaning or their customer service.

I’ve been with Eco Maids for the past year. They do a good job on counter tops and appliances, but despite several requests to do a better job on floors, they don’t vacuum under furniture, they don’t vacuum into the corners. If I wanted to clean myself, I wouldn’t be paying them. They also don’t wet mop the kitchen floor so that after 2 different sessions the dried tomato sauce (which we left as a test after they missed it the first time) was still there under the bar stool the next time. Enough is enough.

If I ran a cleaning service, I’d want it run just like EcoMaids. Setting up the serivce was easy, thanks to the owner walking me through the process. One thing I love is they accept credit cards. It’s nice not having to remember to leave a check! The two women that showed up were professional and did a great job. The owner, Anna, even followed up after the cleaning to see how they did. I told her that they did a great job and that one minor thing I noticed was that the fridge was streaked. She kindly replied back immediately, offering to use a different product or our product if we had one. To top it off, the owner even sent a hand written thank you note post-​cleaning. Insane customer service plus environmentally safe products plus a sparkling house equals one happy lady! Thanks EcoMaids!

We’ve been using Ecomaids every two weeks for several months. With rare exception, they do a good job cleaning our house. My spouse has allergies and even many «green» products can be a challenge for him. We like the eco-​friendly products they use and they are happy to use some of our favorites (Murphy’s, Bona, etc.)
When we did some interior painting this fall, they had no problem rescheduling visits around the paint crew. Also, whenever a new person is being trained, they are paired with a senior crew member so that the quality of their service remains high.
We would give them 5 stars, but we do have one minor suggestion. Dusting/​wiping baseboards are not included in their regular service. Our home is all hardwood floors with white baseboards. While the floors are beautiful, the baseboards remain dusty. Baseboard cleaning is only part of their initial and deep cleaning services. If they would add baseboard dusting, we would gladly give them the 5^th star.
On a good note, as a thank you, current customers were sent a holiday card with a loyalty bonus choice. We could pick either a free refrigerator cleaning in January OR we could donate an hour to women recovering from cancer treatments. One of the most memorable offers of thanks we’ve seen.
So, if you want drama-​free, eco-​friendly cleaning, definitely try them.

We bought a Groupon for two cleanings. It was a complete waste of time and money. Our place is relatively clean and small, so it’s an easy job. They did a terrible job. The floors weren’t washed, minimal dusting was done and the bathroom was still dirty. Their customer service was terrible and they failed to adequately rectify the situation. I’m shocked they are still in business.

I’ve been using EcoMaids for about a year and couldn’t be happier. They always do a fine job of cleaning my home on the monthly plan, always check before leaving to ensure everything is completed to my satisfaction and perhaps most important to me, they are efficient, conscientious, polite, friendly and really seem to value their clients.
