The blonde goes brassy very quickly. Even when you buy their products.

For the price (300 $ including tip) I was really expecting better. Orange, brassy highlights and my haircut is way too short and kinda weird. Just not my style at all. Don’t think I will be returning.

They do great fashion colors. I used to be a regular here a few years ago and i found the stylists a little too ruse for my taste. As a high end salon i appreciate the ambiance and the flavored water it’s all about the detail. However the attitude of the staff left a bad taste in my mouth. I’d rather drive 30 minutes out of my way for a friendly environment and talented stylists elsewhere.

I go here every 3 weeks for a single process and blow out with Lisa. Always fantastic service and I get a lot of complaints about how great my hair looks.

I have been there a few times. Steven gave me a few nice cuts though it’s more like he’s putting on a performance for the young women in training who stand by and watch him. My last cut was awful and not at all what I requested. And please stop pushing the sexy hair products! I’m going back to NYC and Bumble cuts!

I’ve been coming here on and off for years, and I always walk away pleased! It is a very contemporary and trendy salon, and you notice the bold colors and atmosphere right as you walk in. Shelley did my highlights and haircut, and the style looks so light and beautiful! The whole staff tends to whatever you need and are very polite and social. You feel like you’re a part of the Sivana family after your first appointment. While it is pricey (my haircut and highlights came to $ 155), you don’t regret it. It’s an amazing place to get your hair redone and feel transformed!

Love this place! Everyone is wonderful! Very hip and trendy! Danielle does my color which is always amazing. Stacie does amazing blow outs for me! And Steven is always in point with his cuts!

Double process blonde, never a complaint with my color OR the integrity of my hair afterwards, always treated well and professionally! The staff is young yet extremely knowledgeable… the atmosphere is colorful, bright and fun. I would recommend to anyone anywhere.

I just recently moved to the area and my friend recommended this place after a botched haircut. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how modern the place was, and how young everyone was and how cool their hair colors were. I saw that someone said in the reviews that young=inexperienced, but I actually think that this was a good thing because they were more in tune with me and what I wanted than other places I went to. They treat you as if you are a client instead of just someone they wanna get in and out of the salon to accommodate the next person — they took down my name and my information and put me on file for the next time I come in. The girl who, for lack of a stronger word, SAVED my hair completely changed the shape and made it more fitting for my face, all the while introducing the products she was using to me and telling me what they did. It was very informative and I really felt like they cared about what I wanted and about providing great service.
It IS a little pricey (even with the 50% discount for my first time there my haircut was still $ 40) but for those who care about their hair the way I do, the price is definitely worth it. I’ll be coming here again soon for some color and I’m really looking forward to it — I’ll let you know how that goes when I get that done as well.

I got a blow out here by Jolie. I will NEVER go to this salon again. She started washing my hair and asked me about my eye brows and where I got them done. I told her I get them waxed at a local nail salon and she tried to sell me eye brow threading. Then when she started to blow dry my hair she asked me about my highlights and where I got them done and told me she could do them better. After that she told me about the keratin treatment special they were having where it $ 150 for the month of June and for my hair it would usually cost around $ 400. I don’t even know what a keratin treatment is and she is trying to sell it to me. The whole time she just wanted to sell me stuff including the 3 different hair sprays she put in my hair. In the beginning I showed her a picture of what I wanted and so then after she is finished she goes «didn’t I do such a better job?» I’m like sure… I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I go to a salon to relax not to feel pressured to buy things. All I was getting done was a blow out no to go in there to get made over.

Had my haircut by Lisa. It was a last minute thing and I’ve never been there before. But I read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try.
Absolutely loved being there. The atmosphere was very welcoming and it was busy but I didn’t wait long for my appointment. Everyone was very nice beginning to end and Lisa did just what I asked.
If you’re willing to spend a little more than most of the salons I’ve been to definitely try this place. I can’t wait to go back!

Been here a number of times for (mediocre) haircuts and 3 colors which needed correction and toner (I’m a brunette, not much expertise needed) … after my last experience here I will not be returning.
Some background, I am a former hairstylist and I usually do my own color, but I recently bought into the St. James Housewives sellout and started going here… I am unimpressed. Although everyone is very nice; the salon is overpriced, trendy, it is mostly young (read not enough experience) employees with ridiculous hairstyles & colors… alas, this is not what should be making up a «quality» salon.
I simply needed some «soft beach waves» wanded in, this is very basic & even pointed to an employees hairstyle that I simply wanted replicated… my 15 yo daughter or myself could’ve easily done this at home, but I wanted to pay the 40 bucks and get it done quickly as I had an event that evening… I went with my hair freshly washed and blown out. I ended up with a teased mess, spiral banana curls (!) and no style… this was a major major disappointment. My husband actually asked me if I paid for this. Oh my God. Yes I did and I had a wedding to go to in 30 minutes. I combed out everything and worked on creating some soft fingerwaves and «beach waves». At the end it was tolerable but overall, I was so disappointed… the girl I had used before for this was no longer available… so why just toss me to anyone? Just let me know you can’t accommodate my request on such short notice, rather than treating me like the average St. James sheeplewives with a fat wallet… this is not nice business.
In short, sadly, as much as I really tried to love it here, I just can’t. I can not justify bad to mediocre talent at top dollar prices and I couldn’t possibly recommend them. To be fair, I do know some women who are very happy with them.

I absolutely love it here! I’ve been here now three times and have had a haircut and three blowouts. I have had an assistant, a jr. Stylist and a senior stylist all of which were amazing.
I’ve never left sivana not feeling absolutely amazing and fabulous.
I’ve had Brittani, senior stylist, Michelle Gruber, junior stylist, and Stacy, hair assistant. All three times my hair looked and felt fabulous, had tons of bounce and maintained a shininess that had been incomparable.
Brittani cut my hair and trust me for someone who doesn’t cut her hair too often. I did extensive research in picking a place. I have extremely curly hair and she did an amazing job! Cut off a whole 18 inches and left me feeling like the possibilities of what I could do to my hair were sill endless and they were! She truly brought life back into my hair. And I absolutely have loved it ever since. I recommend sivana wholeheartedly because they truly do an amazing job!

REALLY NICE SALON. The atmosphere is friendly and always being updated. don’t quite understand the below reviewers comments about the facility being outdated. it’s about as updated as it could be. They have had a lot of the same staff for a long time, showing the consistency and professionalism of people here for a career, not just a J O B as in many salons. They are always trying to improve and update themselves, with a lot of training… and prices are reasonable as well!

This is legit. I have never ever been happy with my haircut till I came here.
I have crazy curly hair that could never be tamed so I choose to wear it in a bun, this is all yesterdays news because after my haircut with Steven I can now wear my hair down, which I DO NOW!
I can not say enough good things about my experience here. Steven has changed my life and everyone is now complementing me on my hair, I am so happy I decided to not get it chemically straightened because with the new style I love my curls.

I like a hair stylist that speaks up when your about to change your hair style, and I always find that here. Unlike some other salons that give people titles and it means nothing, the system for moving up through the business is well respected and valued here at Sivana. Even the least experienced hair cutters go through a long earned waiting period and then handed a pair of scissors when they are truly ready to cut and style.
My friend sent me here, I’ve passed the word along to my family and friends, everyone walks out happy. Now I’m passing along to you!
