I always wanna be here. My friend from Stony Brook Univ drove me here. We took many lovely photos. I highly recommend to guys to spend the summer here. Blue ocean and cozy lifestyle.

As a Smithtown resident, this beach is free with a permit. I love this beach because it’s nearby, has a nice playground, spray area, and it’s never crowded like the bigger beaches. No huge waves here which is great for me and my kids. Like many Northshore beaches, it is a bit rocky and your feet have to get used to that. It’s maintained nicely and a great place to relax and enjoy the sunsets.

Perfect image of a quintessential east coast beach. Think «JAWS» or some other movie set back eat. You have the wind swept sandy beach, small dunes, miles and miles of flimsy stick-​wood beach fence. Fat sea gulls, clean air… what more could you want?
Well, in our case, would have been nice if the restrooms were open, but hey… I understand. It’s winter after all, and who really comes here in the wintertime? Well, we saw a few people. One local walking her dog, and a few other die hards like ourselves who braved the 40 degree midday sun to see the ocean.
All in all, a beautiful beach with lots of potential for a sunny day. I’d definitely go back.

Long Island, NY
What a lovely beach on the North Shore of Long Island. Please keep in mind if your not a resident of Smithtown you are not allowed to go. Unless you have a friend of the town to hitch a ride with. They keep this beach cleaned and keep it really nice. For a north shore beach they do have a good amount of sand to start and as you get closer to the water they have more rocks.
If you know someone in the town this is a nice quite beach. I always enjoyed coming here many times. They also have another beach down the road called Long Beach. Not the same as the town Long Beach.
Enjoy if you can get in.

Manhattan, NY
I love this beach! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. The water is calm with no waves and the sand is slightly rocky. It’s great for kids and has a nice playground. There is also a covered concession area with changing rooms, bathrooms and showers! Make note: It’s a local beach for residents only (strictly enforced).
