I’m 62 and still care about how my hair looks, I had only 3 people cut hair over the years. When I moved to Smithtown I was worried I wouldn’t find a hair cutter close to home and going to the city for my long time barber was not a option. Any longer. So I walked into this place hoping for the best, Simon was available, so I sat and told him my fear of getting zeeked. Success ! Great haircut!!! Simon is a Master haircutter I never had anyone pay so much attention to my hair, he was a pure perfectionist. For us older guys Simon is the man

Found this place for my boyfriend because his old barber stopped caring about his customers. Came in this place because of the Unilocal reviews. Very friendly staff, fast and efficient. The apprentice was really good and my boyfriend was satisfied with his haircut.

Still coming here years later and still happy with my haircuts. The price is still very reasonable and the Aaron is still doing my flattop cuts without complaint. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
There’s only one problem with this Unilocal page and I can’t get the site staff to make the correction. The only picture they have posted is from somewhere else but certainly not Aaron’s Barber Shop in St James. I must remember to snap a photo next time I’m there so I can post it. Maybe that will encourage them to discard the erroneous picture that’s posted now. There are/​were a few shops with the name Boris used that are in the surrounding area, and I think that’s wherein the confusion lies.

Just moving to the area I found Aaron’s Barbershop via Unilocal.The reviews are solid that this is a great place. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed and a conversation starts. Ronnie cut my hair and was right on. Aaron and Ronnie both make interesting conversation. The haircut was right on and just what I want. The hot shave for the back of the neck was a nice amd welcome bonus. Great barbershop!

We took my 1 year old son in to see Tara at Aaron’s Shop today. She was recommended from a friend. She was so incredibly skilled, fast and great with my kids. We feel very lucky that we found her. My husband is going to come in for his next cut too. My son loved sitting in the toy car they had for his haircut. We will be back!

I recently moved to the area and was looking to find my new «Go-​To» Barber. I read good reviews about this place and decided it was worth a shot. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and was seated immediately. No appointments needed. My barber was Alex? and he did a phenomenal job. Paid good attention to detail. Good cuts. Very personable. I’ll be returning in a month.

This was my first time getting a cut at a barber shop. I used to go to Supercuts and decided I wanted to try something new. I’m glad I went here first. The service was excellent and my barber was very experienced and personable! Would definitely recommend!

My son and I are new to the area and needed a last minute haircut last Sunday afternoon. Aaron was able to fit us in even though they were closing in 15 min and did a great job. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for a fast/​precise barber. Thanks!
